I had this problem too, but once I changed the setting to "Denied" for all the sites that Gears is set up for on my machine I could get access to Reader again; allowing Gears access again doesn't appear to have re-broken it. (Fingers crossed)

In that case, I guess my desire for this function is just for aesthetic reasons.

I disagree; using a service like Last.fm is pointless if artist names are changed just so that a music player will sort correctly. Or am I missing something obvious? – insomnius, on December 13, 2008 01:05

Front Row: Long load times and scrolling problems

Front Row takes a long time to load lists of artists/albums/etc and frequently jumps back while scrolling down through the list once it has finally loaded. This started happening a couple of months ago, and the only information I've been able to find online is that a few forum posts have been made by others with the same problem, to no avail.

Any idea what causes this and what I can do to fix it?

I second the request for a sort-by-time feature - this would make Flock RSS much easier to use.

Ability to order subscribed feeds alphabetically or manually without having to drag and drop in the sidebar would also be excellent - perhaps adding RSS subscriptions to the Organise Favourites window would work.
