iPod skips some mp3s synced with songbird

I few songs/albums that play perfectly on songbird (windows) and anyother music player are not playing at all on my iPod 6th gen 80gb.

The songs try to start at 0:00 then it skips to the next one, like it was incompatible. I tried adding the album/songs to itunes and itunes won't pickup the mp3s for whatever reason.

I wanted to know if this was a known problem with ipods and if anyone knew how to get these albums to be playable on it, either by using a plugin to convert on the fly (I think itunes has this feature) or something.

I don't know how to figure out if the mp3s are VBR, however ipods shouldn't have a problem with VBR as they are supposedly "supported"

I ended up restoring my Acronis backup image of Windows Vista, getting the addon you suggested and exporting the playlists.

Now I have to re-install/restore Windows 7 and test the import.

I downloaded the latest Vista build, it disabled all old addons and downloaded concert and another one.

The library is still missing, Error console shows this:

aha!

Unplugged my ipod from the system and tried again, songbird booted.

However, I still get the same screen as before (no library, playlists, nada) links

I uninstalled songbird, deleted all folders/files under:

AppData\Roaming

(only songbird related of course).

Re-installed, before launching for the first time, copy and restore profile just like before, drag and drop all folders inside string.default.

It crashed.

Thanks for the quick response. But I did copy all the profile from my backup and now I am missing links on the left side navigation bar.

My custom feather, Last.fm login info and everything else seems to be there like I used to have, BUT there is no Library link and I am missing 2-3 more links below library I think. Any help is appreciated.

BTW; No playlists...

I just installed Songbird on Windows7, I was on Windows Vista.

I tried backing up (copy/paste) the default profiles, but that did not work. I made a copy of the default profile before I wiped out the hard-drive.

C:/Users/Myusername/Music is still the same music directory.

I need to restore my playlists so I can sync my ipod with Windows 7 and Songbird. Any help?

I'm lucky I am not experiencing any errors, I did however have problems with songbird displaying my library (wtf?) I already fixed it myself and posted the solution in my question thread.

I fixed mine by clicking "RESTORE DEFAULTS" here.

And what's up with Skreemr not available in 1.1.1, I know how to add it and saw the other thread but seriously if it was so easy for me to add it why not have it included out of the box??

Darn it. Reinstalled 1.1.1 and can't go back to what used to work without risking losing data. There is no quick fix for this either huh?

UN-installing 1.1.1 then installing the 1.0.0 makes songbird NOT SHOW the "Library" at all.

My playlists are still there and work, but cant see my library anymore it does not open at all. I tried importing media see if that did anything and library does not open still. Does not even show blank.

Actually, not all of them are enabled at all.

I disabled ALL the addons I had enabled and this error still comes up.

Also for my Eminem artists too.

I upgraded from 1.0 to 1.1 and now this artist seems to be blank and i get a javascript error, see image.

Deleting your library, and readding it will DELETE ALL DATA IN PLAYLISTS (empty playlists).

It's kinda of annoying, when I am deleting then readding My Music folder without closing the program, it should NOT clear my playlists due.
