This still doesn't work. It will not update the publisher tag (which is also not editable in Songbird - a possible cause? The official frame is "TPUB"). This leads to strange behavior with the search function. For example, the publisher is set to another artist (through a bizarre series of events), so when I search for that artist, I get songs not at all related to the search.

Miraculous Song Recovery From iPod!

Alright, so I had about 100 ghost songs that I found. My plan was to get them off of my iPod, since I knew they were there. So, I hook up my iPod. Next thing I know, Songbird had detected all the songs that were ghosts (and some more I didn't know I was missing) and added them to my library from my iPod! I was stunned! All I had to do was make a smart playlist (location contains iPod_Control) to export, then copy all the songs over. I must admit, I was impressed. Thanks! (One way to improve: drag and drop support into my library from my iPod.)

Alright, recently my sax teacher gave me a bunch of music by manually managing my iPod from his iTunes. My iPod is synced with Songbird and has the scrolling problem which I described before. After he put music from iTunes onto my iPod, the problem vanished. As soon as I synced with Songbird again, it reappeared. I've got the files from each sync on my computer, and I'll send them to you guys if someone gives me an email. Hopefully you can compare them and fix this problem.
