A comment on the question "New Mac user wants to use paltalk!!" in Paltalk:
Paltalk express uses flash and will not run on an iphone. When Adobe and Apple release flash for iphone, then it might work. Maybe. – D. Richards, on May 19, 2009 10:03

(Mac) Paltalk Express will not transmit sound but Flash settings show the mic worksUsing Express in Fluid/webkit/Safari 4; MacOS 10.5.6 on MacBook Pro with built-in iSight and mic and speakers.
I can't get it to transmit sound. In Flash settings, I select the internal mic and the green-to-red level bar shows that it has access to the mic and it is functional. When I hold the transmit button, my pals in SuperIM or a room (tried both) can't hear me but they can hear others. I can hear them, see their cams, and share my cam (great work on that guys!) but since the last time I used Express, no mic transmit.

TY for removing spam.
I know what you mean lalkrishna, but when you set up Paltalk in Fluid like I said, it really does look good and work well. Personally, I'd like to see Paltalk switch on ALL platforms to an Adobe AIR client, which runs on Windows Mac and Linux all the same, but that's really the next step, take all clients to AIR.

Parallels is more stable than VMware Fusion. You can find trial versions on apple.com/downloads for both pieces of software, or on macupdate.com - Parallels is in the macheist.com packages too. To run Windows on your Mac, you need a real Windows installer and a real windows serial number. And to be honest, you can see cams and talk to people, and the Pal team is working on sharing your cam over Pal Express, so you might just want to give it some time. Paltalk and Autocad are about the two last popular software packages that don't have a dedicated real Mac project, but at least for Pal Express, the damn thing works, and its nicer looking than Paltalk 9.4 on Windows.
If you want Paltalk Express to feel like a real mac program, goto fluidapp.com and download Fluid. Configure a new Fluid instance, call it Paltalk, use one of the icons below, point the home page to http://express.paltalk.com, and in preferences under appearance choose "no chrome"

I changed my Java settings to default to 6.0, and updated my flash settings... see how this goes.
I kinda wish Paltalk Express was available as an Adobe Air applet... Air is cross platform and configures itself to be allowed to use your mic and cam if it needs to... and maybe those Linux guys would be less frustrated. They seem really upset all the time...

No... this happens during active use. Its not really inactivity. Its just happened since last week's build, and this week's July 1 build has not helped. Like I said, it logs due to "inactivity" while under active use. Its very frustrating. I've moved to Paltalk 9.x on VMware Fusion/Windows XP primarily - but that is not a real solution, its just a pain.

D. Richards reported a problem in Paltalk on June 27, 2008 07:40:
Inactivity Log OutTonight since the 10 minute Paltalk downtime... my Paltalk Express (Fluid.app/Safari, Mac OS-X 10.5.3, Java 1.4.2) has been logging me out every ten minutes or so due to "inactivity" - I leave my Paltalk online for days, I never had this problem before, I never had it with Windows version 9.x, and its very inconvenient. I don't want to have to type in the Opie and Anthony room in the morning to be able to hear the stream, I don't want to be logged out and inaccessible to my contacts just because I'm not actively talking on Pal. This is... very inconvenient and frustrating. Thank you for looking at this.

Right now, since the Paltalk "10 minute service downtime" tonight, the timestamp is not reporting on my side of the conversation, but its reporting on the other, like this:
(3:26 AM) Jules74: welcome back
mloperative: my paltalk keeps logging out tonight
(3:27 AM) Jules74: lmao
(3:27 AM) Jules74: its ok
