Michael Ivey set one of Michael Ivey's replies as an official response to "Why doesn't divvs recalculate one's score when one has added another identity after the initial calc?" in Divvs
Michael Ivey replied on August 22, 2008 22:07 to the problem "Why doesn't divvs recalculate one's score when one has added another identity after the initial calc?" in Divvs:
We do! It takes a little while, but new identities should show up in your rating within an hour or so, right now.
During this alpha phase, we've worked hard to get new users an initial rating as soon as possible. We're working to get new data added quickly too, though.
Keep in mind that Divvs Ratings will constantly change as we find new information, so even if you don't change your identities your score may move around.
Thanks for trying Divvs, and for the feedback.
Michael Ivey replied on August 18, 2008 14:58 to the question "Top Five Friends Missing" in Divvs:
Ah, in that case it's possible they haven't verified their Facebook profiles, so we haven't connected you yet. If you want to email me, I can dig deeper: michael@divvs.com.
We're still puzzling over the best way to handle email friends. A lot of sites let you import your webmail address books, but we really don't like that idea, because you have to give us your password. While we would never do anything bad with it, we don't want you to have to worry that we might.
Michael Ivey replied on August 18, 2008 14:50 to the question "Top Five Friends Missing" in Divvs:
Currently, since we don't crawl your email address books, the only friends we'll pick up are Facebook and Twitter. It looks like you had one of your Facebook friends sign up for Divvs a few hours ago, and our crawler hadn't caught up to you yet to notice.
I nudged it, so you should see her score. I've also made a todo-list item for myself to speed this process up, so as soon as your friends sign up you'll see them show up on your list.

I got an email back from Ravelry. In their words, "it might be a while (ie. this fall)" before they have a complete API we can work against. I'm hopeful we can help them test it, and be one of the first people to use it. So be patient, we'll definitely do this as soon as we can.
Be sure you go to My Account -> Set Preferences, in Divvs, and check the "Send me an email whenever Divvs adds new networks" so you'll know about new networks as soon as we have them working.

Michael Ivey replied on August 13, 2008 14:39 to the question "LinkedIn??" in Divvs:
We're working on it.
LinkedIn doesn't have their API public yet, so we have to ask them for permission to use it. LinkedIn is our number 1 priority for new networks.
Be sure you go to My Account -> Set Preferences, in Divvs, and check the "Send me an email whenever Divvs adds new networks" so you'll know about new networks as soon as we have them working.

Michael Ivey replied on August 11, 2008 21:01 to the question "Does Divvs have a privacy policy to post?" in Divvs:
We haven't had our lawyers run over it yet, but our simple privacy pledge is here: http://divvs.com/privacy.
We will not, under any circumstances, reveal your personal data to any third party sources except as described below.
If a person or company that has established a business relationship with Divvs' sends a request containing an email address, social network identity, cell phone number, or other personally identifiable piece of information that exists in our database, we will return to them your Divvs Rating only.
We will also give your identity information (Facebook link, Twitter name, etc) to your friends, but only because they already have that info anyway.

Thanks Christopher, that will work. If you have a custom CSS recipe already, I'd love to see it. – Michael Ivey, on July 07, 2008 06:14

Easy way to switch logins via bookmarklet?I have 2 accounts, one for me and one for my baby. Mostly I post to mine, but every now and then I want to post to hers. I *love* the bookmarklet (best one I've seen) ... but I wish there was a way to switch users from that interface, because I always forget.-

Michael Ivey shared an idea in Soup on June 13, 2008 16:57:
Add support for Twitter favoritesThere's an RSS feed for each user's favorite tweets. I'm using it on everything.gweezlebur.com, but they don't get formatted nicely like regular Twitter posts do. Since I'm using soup as my "everything" site, it would be cool to have these there as well.
