When I used the paper forms, I would typically use the notes section to mark when I had a coffee, or went for a run, to see how it impacted my productivity. Or to note how I got distracted when I bubbled a few under "wasting time".

I don't print or look at the weekly summaries so if I created a note, I would never see it again. I use BubbleTimer to reflect continuously on my day to keep myself accountable. It's open on it's own screen all day long so I can glance at it and be reminded how I'm doing. Having notes visible would be a great help.

Now I'm curious what others use the notes field for.

IMO It's not useful without being able to see the notes all the time. Anyone else feel this way?

It should at least be able to show a full work day without scrolling. Ever since the pre-planning feature (thanks) I find I have to scroll around a lot.

The columns are also HUGE!, just having DT, DG, WG, as column headings would probably save enough room. But for those of us who don't use the goal columns as much, collapsible is great.

And in the future, having the ability to resize to window width would be a plus. I'm with you Sean on having a very wide workspace (tried to measure it, but the tape ran out), but some of my LCDs are square.

In the notes section, if hovered in an empty spot, a note icon could appear. Or the ability to drag a "line" between 2 points in time and then the note field would appear associated with that block. – j0dan, on March 05, 2009 20:43

I'd like to see a notes section always visible on it's on line.
Just have little blocks of text aligned to the time it was entered for.

I'd really like to create a note for a chunk of bubbles or at a particular time stamp. I already have daily note taking in Joe's Goals but really miss being able to write quick notes tagged to a specific time like on paper. Per activity is not as important to me as I'm never going to have multiple notes at the same time for different categories. I'd like the notes to be outside of category constraints. Is the pre-planning tool still in development? I think we should re-name the topic to get more people interested.

I'm dreaming up ways to hack it in using greasemonkey, or even worse--go back to paper and break out the pencil crayons. :)
