I'm not seeing a user in our system with that name. do you have a link to a video, comment something that shows this happening?
While someone misrepresenting themselves as someone else might be against our rules (in a video or comments, for example), simply using a username would not be a violation of any policy on our site as there are tons of people with the same name.
Jacob replied on October 26, 2009 07:52 to the problem "Deleting videos" in 12seconds:
Hey,
There are two ways to delete a video. The first is when you are browsing a page that has a feed on it (that's where there's a bunch of videos in a list-view - that's what the home page is when you logged in). If you hover your mouse over a video that you made, you should see a pencil and a trash can appear in the top-right corner. just click those to edit or delete the video.
Additionally, edit/delete buttons appear on the video pages themselves (towards the bottom, right before the comments).
However, there is a bug in the system right now that doesn't show those buttons on the video pages for any video made with the 12mail iPhone app. We'll be rolling out a fix in a couple days that addresses this, but in the mean time, you can delete the video by going to your channel (http://12seconds.tv/channel/username) and deleting it from there.

Jacob replied on October 26, 2009 07:34 to the problem "Twitter profile style matching not working properly" in 12seconds:
Hey,
It should be grabbing those settings from Twitter.. i'll have to look into why that isn't happening the way it should. However, you have control on our end as well. If you go to your settings (login, then click settings in the upper-right-hand corner), you can uncheck the box that says "Use my background" and we won't use it anymore.
Jacob replied on October 26, 2009 07:32 to the problem "No audio" in 12seconds:
Easiest way is when you are about to record a video, there should be a drop-down selection over the video prevew that lets you select a video and audio source. The first drop-down lets you change what your webcam is, the second is the audio - i'd try changing the audio to a different selection and try that until you find something that works.
Jacob replied on October 26, 2009 07:31 to the idea "How to find people in your area/location on 12sec?" in 12seconds:
Hey,
We don't have the ability to do this right now. We ask for a "Location", but it's not a standardized field where people choose a city/state or type a zip code. because of this, people can type whatever they want into the location field and there isn't any easy way to match anyone up based on that.
This may be something we allow later. However, if you have Facebook or Twitter, it's easy to find contacts there in the same area and if you're friends, you are able to "sync" your followers so you are following the same people you are friends with on those other networks.
We do agree that location-based features are important and its something we hope to add.
Jacob replied on October 26, 2009 07:29 to the idea "PLEASE fix the FLV player bugs!" in 12seconds:
I'm confused as to what you're saying...
Our players aren't great, but they work just fine and they don't seriously hinder the experience of the site. With a small team, we need to choose our priorities carefully because we simply can't do everything we'd like.
The site works very well and we fix problems that come up very quickly when it's an issue of the site working or not and not just a minor cosmetic thing.
All that being said, take a look at the site later this week. You'll see our new players finally being launched.
Jacob replied on October 21, 2009 21:50 to the question "To section is not working" in 12seconds:
Have you connected your account with Twitter?
If you haven't done that, you won't be able to send a message. If you have done that and still have an issue, it's likely a result of Twitter having problems today. They have mentioned that their API has not functioning correctly for most of the morning and that would stop us from being able to get your contacts in the system. I don't have any idea when they will fix it, but I'd just try again later today or tomorrow.
Let us know if we can help you with anything else.

Hey guys - I will take care of both your accounts right now.
Logins will be wfryer and thomasknoll. However, any friends/followers you have on your second accounts cannot be merged. Because they are both Twitter linked though, you can turn on Twitter Sync for your account and we'll automatically follow anyone you follow on Twitter.
