Jessica replied on October 08, 2009 16:18 to the question "carousel transitions not working" in Tightrope Media Systems:
I had this problem and it was because my carousel was running in simple mode, not standard as it is supposed to. Those settings are when you start to run the carousel display engine and it is configuring the set up, if you click in the box, you'll see the simple/standard drop down box. Anyway, it has been a while since you posted this, so I hope you've got the problem solved, but that was my experience.

Can DSK Bug Text show constantly? Is there a way to have DSK Bug Text turned on my channel constantly, similarly to the way my DSK Bug graphic is on constantly? I want to be able to have "tag line" near my bug, which will change periodically, so I don't want to keep creating a new .PNG everytime I want o change it. Can the Bug Text play over shows and bulletin board the same?

Cool, okay I can do that and I actually understand what you are saying... which leads me back to the SX2, etc... I double checked each machine and there is no electrical information on any of the computers. I'll keep looking and I'll also email Tightrope directly. I'd have to say, I got more than I bargained for (in a good way) with this post. Thanks so much for the electrical information, it will really help me!

Ohhh, I think I'm going about it wrong then... Yes I need to to calculate the total power these units are consuming and I thought I needed to measure in voltage, but you are saying I need to measure in watts or amps? I was looking on the boxes at the power supply, but i could only find volts so thats what I thought I needed. But you are saying there should be something that says watts or amps that I can use? For example, if the back said 120V AC 60Hz 50W, should I use the 50 in my calculations of total watts.
Sorry if this is off topic, but I do need the watts on the tightrope machines as well as everything else in my rack, so I'll take help anywhere I can get it.
Thanks!

DVD import manual?Hi Tightrope friends!
Does anyone have access to documentation about how DVD Import works? Is there a links to a manual or something? I'd like to see if it is something worth having, but I'd like to understand it first. As always, your help is much appreciated.

Cablecast 4.8.2 Update - driver 5.5.1.215 questionHi everyone,
I know I should know this but I just want confirmation... I'm doing the updates on my FrontDoor (from 5.3.1 to 5.3.2) Carousel (5.2.3 to 5.2.4) and Cablecast (4.8.1 to 4.8.2). I was sent the Cablecast SX Drivers - Version 5.5.1.215 which I did the last time in order to get to 4.8.1 - do I have to do it again? My computer does have Matrox DSX.utils Version: 5.5.1.215 on my comp. So the way I read it, even though the direction TRMS sent said do this, if I already have it, I don't do it. Right? Thanks for the patience with my computer uneasiness.

Thanks Jennifer, looking forward to the resolution.
In the meantime, I've found that if I edit a page in the group to active, it will take all the pages with it, which helps me, since most of my groups all need to travel together from Saved/Stale to Active and back. Hope that helps anyone else with a problem like this.

Moving Saved & Stale Groups in Carousel 5.2.2Did we loose the ability to move groups from saved or stale to active with the Carousel 5.2.2 update? I thought I could move a group from those locations to the active before I install the update, but I could be mistaken, I haven't been using this for a long time. I still can move a group from Active to Stale or Saved, so why can't I do the reverse. Please let me know if I am just crazy. Thanks.

jacquesj replied on January 15, 2009 19:47 to the question "move carousel pages to full alert zone" in Tightrope Media Systems:
Thanks Ray and JJ... I am indeed looking for the capability to moves pages from my regular "CH12" zone to "Full Alert" zone, but after JJ's explanation, is makes sense why I cannot do that.
Additionally, it sounds like I am using the full alert zone, when I could just as easliy be making a group of pages appear as ALERT bulletins, rather than putting them in the "Full Alert" zone, since my channel is right now only using 1 zone. That would make moving regular pages to alert pages much easier than what I am doing... creating the same page twice.
I'll give it a shot.
Thanks guys.

move carousel pages to full alert zoneHi, Does anyone know if it is possible to copy carousel pages from my main zone to the full alert zone? I don't get the option to post it to the full alert zone when I'm done creating the pages.
Thanks, Jessica J.

Default Input not updatingHi, I recently changed my default input for my channel but I can't get the change to take effect. I went into Locations>I/O>Outputs. Found my Channel Ouput and switched it to the proper input, but after every show that plays it defaults back to my old setting (the old bulletin input). Does anyone have a suggestion on what to do next? Thanks,
Jessica
