Josh Jaffe started following the problem "The import from Twitter is broken" in Get Satisfaction.
Josh Jaffe replied on November 10, 2009 06:33 to the praise "GardenJot is all about growing!" in GardenJot:
I agree. We would like more members in South Africa. We're up to about 50 gardens with some density in some of the major cities but we have a long way to go. Feel free to advertise the link through to your gardening contact. That would be fantastic! If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.
If you're still having trouble uploading the remaining photos, feel free to email them over to me and I'll upload them for you. My email is josh at gardenjot dot com.
I haven't looked into a Java applet for photo uploads, but I will now.
Thanks again,
Josh

Josh Jaffe replied on November 09, 2009 03:37 to the question "Site URL" in GardenJot:
Thanks for your question. That's a great idea.
To share on Facebook, just visit your garden page and then click on the Facebook icon on the right side of the screen.
If you'd like to share your garden page URL directly from within Facebook or somewhere else, just place your cursor on the URL button on the right side of your garden page and copy it over to wherever you'd like on the web.
The more you share, the more people will join and the more the gardening information will be personalized to you.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
Thanks,
Josh

Thanks so much for the praise and the feedback.
I'm aware of a few of the slow areas of the site such as when you leave a comment and am working on them. If you find any others, please let me know. That would be very helpful.
Hopefully at least one of the 20 gardens across South Africa on the GardenJot map are near your garden so that you can exchange information and get information specific to your climate. It would be great to have even more members in South Africa so the gardening information is even more useful. Please let me know if you have any suggestions in this regard.
Thanks,
Josh

Josh Jaffe replied on October 26, 2009 03:54 to the question "web albums showing here,...why?" in GardenJot:
Hi Charlie,
Apologies for the slow reply. You can import photo albums from Flickr or Picasa as well as blog feeds and Twitter feeds if you like. You can also remove them once you've added them. Simply, login, click My Profile on the right column, click Edit Profile Feeds and then scroll down to remove or add the appropriate feed from the box. I hope this helps.

Josh Jaffe replied on October 26, 2009 03:50 to the problem "Problem Joining Up" in GardenJot:
Hi Ann,
Thanks for your note. Sorry to hear of your trouble. Someone named Ann joined successfully a few hours ago. The email suffix was socket.net. Is it possible that was you? If so, please try to login. If you don't remember your password, please use the Forgot Password function. Then you should be able to login and add your garden and participate in the community.
It that wasn't you, please let me know here if that's the case.
I look forward to seeing your garden on the site soon.
Josh

Hi Sherry,
Thanks very much for bringing this to my attention. That sounds like a very annoying bug you've uncovered. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
We'll look into this and see if it's a site-wide issue or something specific to your Browser (IE8) and OS (Vista). Either way, I'll get back to you and let you know what we find.
Best regards,
Josh

Josh Jaffe replied on August 27, 2009 06:34 to the question "Grapevine Feature" in GardenJot:
Hi Yvonne,
Thanks very much for your question. We've released the Grapevine to help GardenJot users better understand what's going on around the site. For example, you can now easily see what other members are talking about and what gardens have recently been update. Hopefully, this will help you more easily connect to nearby gardeners with similar growing preferences.
There are two versions of the Grapevine. The one you see on the Home page when you login is a record of all main activities happening around the site such as new members joining, new comments being left or new gardens being created. The Grapevine you see on individual gardener profile pages (including your own) consists only of activities specific to that gardener, that gardener's friends and the gardens that gardener follows.
I would welcome any feedback you have about the Grapevine. I hope you find it useful.
Best regards,
Josh

Josh Jaffe replied on August 09, 2009 21:28 to the question "Garden viewing" in GardenJot:
Hi Michele,
Thanks for your question and thanks for visiting GardenJot.
To view gardens, click on the View Gardens tab in the top right.
Then click on one of the leaf markers that appear on the map indicating a garden is there.
Once you click on that leaf, a white box should pop up with details about the garden such as some text and a photo.
If you'd like to view that garden page, just click on the text or photo in that white box.
This should work. Please let me know if you continue to have trouble.
Best regards,
Josh

Josh Jaffe replied on August 06, 2009 04:34 to the problem "Foxfire log in problem" in GardenJot:
Hi Deborah,
Thanks for your note. I'm so sorry to hear you're not able to login.
It looks like you're using Firefox 3.5.2 on Windows Vista. The login function works on this version of Firefox.
Is the problem that you're unable to login even after entering in your login credentials or the login credentials (e-mail and password) aren't remembered by the browser after you entered them in once? Please let me know so I can look into this more or just help you reset your password.
Best regards,
Josh
