This issue has been resolved via telephone. If you experience this issue please try these:

1. Make sure Quickbooks is close.

2. Sometimes Quickbooks will not shut down properly. Open your task manager (Ctrl alt del and Processes tab) and end the qb32 process.

3. QCDocs Systems may be trying to check in your file into a directory that does not exist. This can happen when you work on more than one computer. Verify that your check in file location is correct by opening 'Check In/Check Out' from the Tools menu. Right click on the file and select 'Set file location'.

Yes this can be problem because of Internet limitations. It is best dealt with by scanning in documents as multipage images at 200dpi (usually 200-300kb files). Document might be very large but the system only deals with one page at a time. Very large files will remain a problem until the next internet speed bump up!

Trouble opening large docs (AT&T bill) – program freezes up each time we attempt to open – we then have to close program and restart

You can’t customize Doc Types but you can build your own library of Names. This can be found under ‘Tools’ and ‘Names Management’.

The Filing system in QCDocs is very similar. Your employees can be given access to any folder and they will be able to submit, edit, and export documents from those folders. In order to manage folder access, go to ‘Setup’ and select the ‘Filing Structure’ tab.

Sharing documents

How will others in the company retrieve documents? Right now the documents are located in folders on the server – employees can open the folders themselves, attach documents in the folders to emails, etc. How will this work using QCDocs? I can’t switch over any of our POs or Invoices yet until I can be sure any employee can get them. . .
