Jahzel Misner replied on January 31, 2009 00:22 to the question "Attaching documents to email" in QCDocs:
You export the document and attach it to an email. We actually have a new feature in the works that will automate this. In ‘Filing’, right click on a document and select ‘Export’. You can export as JPEG or PDF if it is a multi-page document. JPEG and PDF are standard format - your recipients will have no problem viewing them.

Attaching documents to emailI receive most of my documents via email in PDF format. If I drag the items into the Accounting Inbox, they won’t be images, right? How do I solve that problem?

OCR PDF is the only document scan type that will do this. Please see Searching a document for more information about OCR.

Jahzel Misner replied on January 31, 2009 00:11 to the question "Searching a document" in QCDocs:
We recommend that documents greater than 10 pages are entered as PDF rather than images. The key is a good scanner. Check out your office scanner and see if it has the option to scan as a searchable PDF – otherwise known as PDF OCR. We like to recommend Scansnap scanners. Not only can they scan as PDF OCR, but they are also very fast and export reasonable sized PDFs.

Jahzel Misner replied on November 26, 2008 18:18 to the problem "Delete duplicate 'names'? OK or bad idea?" in QCDocs:
Hi Scott,
There is no danger of deleting a name. If you use a name in a document, the name will remain tagged to the document even after being deleted.
There is also a feature in your Tools menu, "Name Change", that allows you to change names. Changing names will replace every instance of the name in QCDocs Systems.
Hope this helps!
