I'm willing to give Expono the benefit of the doubt but 2 problems are preventing me from using Expono as I had intended.

1. One of the main reasons I got excited about Expono and subsequently purchased a premium account was that I wanted a good online backup for my GB's of photos. I quickly found that although Expono could provide this backup solution, uploading said GB's of images is a painful process. The problem is that because Expono hogs all my DSL bandwidth and web browsing becomes completely unusable. So, when I finally decide to upload some images (which isn't very often anymore because of the bandwidth issues) that is the only thing I can do. I posted a suggestion here at Get Satisfaction but as of yet have received no response:

2. The other big reason I paid for Expono was the ability to share photos with friends and family. Today, I tried to share an album with a family member and although they were able to view the photos they aren't allowed to download. I've set and reset privacy options but still now download link/button does not show up for them. Thinking they might need an Expono account I even set up a free account for them but still no joy. The whole process was overly complex and in the end didn't work anyway. I finally just installed dropbox on both of our computers and shared my photos this way.

To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. Since I paid for Expono I guess I can give you guys the duration of my membership to see if you address any of my issues. If my membership was up today, however, I probably wouldn't renew.

Any hope of seeing any of these? I'm especially hoping for throttling. I'm starting to dread uploading photos to Expono anymore because it renders my web browsing almost unusable.

I love Expono so much I bought an upgrade account so keep it up; you guys/gals are doing great work!

I do have 4 requests though:

1. Uploader needs to remember what the last images I uploaded were. As it is now I have to open up my Albums to see what was last uploaded then navigate to the folder on my hard drive to upload. It seems the uploader can only remember the User folder but nothing beyond that.

2. Throttling. When the Uploader is uploading images my web browsing takes a major hit. I'm on a pretty slow DSL connection and would like to get a little of the bandwidth back from the Uploader. My suggestion would be, if this is even possible, to have a setting somewhere that you could set the Uploader to throttle to 3/4, half or 1/4 bandwidth or something like that.

3. I'd love the Uploader to have the ability to a) upload folders of images as new albums (and not have to select all the images in the folder) and b) grab the name of the folder and use it for the album name similar to how iPhoto works when you drag and drop a folder of images into it.

4. An option to change the background of Expono's interface to a darker color. Something like Smugmug for example: http://www.smugmug.com/

Update to OS 10.6 users: if you Get Info on Safari and then tick the "Open in 32-bit mode" check box, Cooliris slide shows work just fine.

Unless I'm mistaken there is no way to batch rotate images? The way it is now, rotating is an onerous and time consuming operation. It would be so nice to be able to select multiple contiguous and non contiguous images and then be able to rotate them all at once.

Thanks. Tried to do that but Cooliris isn't OS 10.6 compatible yet. So I guess I'm just out of luck until they update it. One question though: do you get a drop down menu in the slide show button listing the two types of slideshows (as you do with the Layout and Share buttons)?

How do I start a Cooliris slideshow or is this only a Plus feature?

Features page states:

"Photos can be viewed in two different slideshows. A really cool 3D slideshow by Cooliris, or a fast more lightweight slideshow called Lightview."

Easier Photo Tagging

Tagging large quantities of photos is a long, multi-click process. I'm wondering if you could somehow set a preference so that you wouldn't have to tab through the image Title and Description fields (or mouse click into each Tag field) for each photo just to get to the Tag field.

There are times when tagging the entire album works for this but more often than not, I also have to tag each photo individually.

I know this has probably already been asked but what will PostBox cost when you exit beta? I don't want to "invest" a bunch of time and effort into using PostBox to find out later it's going to cost more than I'm willing to pay. I very much like what I see in Postbox but Mail has worked fine for me for going on 9 years so I'm in no big hurry to to replace it. Will definitely come down to price.

This is getting very tiring. Tweetie is the only Mac client (that I know of) that has this issue and I'm this close (imagine my thumb and forefinger are about a millimeter apart) to just chucking Tweetie in the trash.

Of the first twenty tweets after I launched Tweetie close to half show no avatar because they've recently been changed.

I like Tweeties other features but this issue is ridiculous and just plain maddening.
