I think my ban was horribly unfair. Bans should be used to punish people who break the rules, not people like me who want to follow the rules but fail.

The Gaia customer support sucks, I asked them to tell me what part of the ToS actually forbids what I did (since I couldn't find it), and they answered this:

"Trading Gaia property offsite for currency is actually acknowledged in
sections 9 and 12 of the Terms of Service."

Section 9 is "Messaging and Chat". Not a very obvious place in my opinion. Section 12 is "Gold, Virtual Currency", which sounds a little more promising. That section basically says you can't demand money from Gaia for your gold and that Gaia can do as it pleases with users' gold. It does in no way mention trading gold or items off-site for money.

I am really annoyed. Gaia should treat their customers as customers, not as some nuisance just there for Gaia to get money off.

By the way, section 15 of the ToS is not legal. Gaia can't just terminate accounts "for no reason" with gaia cash (i.e. money) in them since that would be fraud on Gaias part. – tg, on October 10, 2008 20:38

yup, same here.. i check everyday..... it's getting so frustrating,,, hopefully, it doesn't last too long this time since they were able to fix it somehow....

The same thing just happen to me today. My avatar is worth over 5 million g(I've been on Gaia since the beginning) And I've been so careful, about my personal info. The guy hasn't sold any of my stuff( I think). I'm just wondering on average who actually get's there account back and if any missing stuff is actually returned.

Yeah, me too. I was banned one year ago and i was stupid hacked. Someone was in my account messing with it asking for passwords. This hacking thing happend 3 times and changing my password to my email or account both didn't work. Now my new account is stinking 100k poor and my old one was stinkin 700k rich.

im having a problem too, my internet provider is pldt, ive been experiencing this problem for a couple of days.. huhu.. the page opens but i have to wait half an hour or more to load one page.. T_T

PLDT and smart are "sister" companies,,accdg to the guy who came here for pldt repairs...... so i guess they're having the same problem....
