Hello Tyler,
Thanks for your reply.
For this number to be useful to us, I'd like a bit better explanation.
As your customers (when you start selling the app) I imagine we are supposed to use this figure in our campaigns. So we need to know what makes it up to know if it is useful to us and/or suggest improvements or alternate ways of scoring it (this could be controlled in the preferences with intelligent defaults).

How is "Influence" Calculated? How is influence measured? BTW, I love the links only view. Fantastic.
Alec replied on July 21, 2009 20:01 to the question "Taking IntenseDebate's XML Export and Importing Back into WordPress 2.7" in IntenseDebate:
Hi Michael,
We have Typepad comments which are not in Intense Debate and Intense Debate commments.
Wordpress is fresh with none of the comments (well Typepad comments as we've moved them).
We'd like to amalgamate the Typepad and Intense Debate comments in a single Wordpress database and use our built-in Wordpress anti-spam systems (somewhat similar to Intense Debate but faster to load as local).
I think what you guys are doing is great but this particular client would be better served by having all the data local and some custom routines applied to it.
Any help you guys could give us to get the Intense Debate comments into Wordpress would be much appreciated.
As I mentioned, Typepad comments have already been successfully moved. Getting our comments back from Intense Debate is the holdup now.

Hi Beau,
Thanks for the lowdown.
We do need it pretty urgently for a Typepad weblog that we are moving to Wordpress.
I find it a bit rich that you guys are advertising very vocally two way syncing on your website when in fact no such functionality exists.
So we are coding a custom XML converter to Wordpress right now.
Would you care to purchase the code from us when it's finished?

Hello Albert,
Thanks for the update. If you are redoing the port, you should try to tap into the non-destructive SDK. All the existing plugins are using the older destructive (working only on a tiff, not the original RAW file) architecture.
You have a chance to be the first with the newer non-destructive Aperture plugin architecture.
Cheers.

Hello Courtney,
What you are looking for are these two links:

http://twitter.com/account/delete_pic...
You can either press the delete button on that first page or just enter that second URL.
PS. Make sure you are signed in first!

This worked for me as well. Along the way, some of the versions which didn't take actually came back and I was able to stop deleting and just leave up the reappearing picture. Strange system. Looks like it needs some serious repair. – Alec, on March 19, 2009 13:03

Hello Eric,
You saw how first hand Tim Breslin treated me. In fact you felt you had to pull the thread on account of his obscenity, including threats from his side to compromise the integrity of this site by setting up a false account in the name of my company and posting fake complaints.
On the other hand, I'd say my feedback here as a customer is perfectly appropriate. Rant? What are you talking about...

Superb. I'd really like to be able to combine Highrise with a mail service. You guys were quick off the mark with the initial sync which was a great idea. Unfortunately blanket mailing one's entire Highrise list of contacts just makes no sense whatsoever. We have clients with widely different interests on Highrise and need to send some of them info about a and c and some info about b and c and some just info about a or b.
Even that's a simplification. – Alec, on March 16, 2009 17:30-

Hello Chris,
Just to update you, I have written to David at 37signals and have response. He has promised to look into adding tags to the API next time they revise the API. Not a definitive enough answer alas.
It's a pity as we aren't using our Highrise account as it doesn't have any useful way to interact with mailing software (just one massive list, who needs that). – Alec, on March 15, 2009 23:34
