James Mayes replied on June 17, 2009 18:46 to the question "My sister and daughter want to join but we use the same computer, can they still join? They do have separate cell phones." in YouData:
Hello! Thanks for your interest. We currently limit participation to two people per household. We know that there are plenty of families like yours that would like greater participation but at present we must strike a balance between potential abuse of the system and advertiser confidence in us.
So go ahead and activate two accounts. Maybe we'll be able to open it up to more in the future!
Have fun,
James
James Mayes replied on June 17, 2009 14:58 to the question "What are the YouData Fees" in YouData:
Hi Sd,
Every time you are paid, YouData charges you the associated PayPal costs. We use the PayPal feature called "Mass Pay" and we are charged 2% of the total up to a maximum of $1. So if you earn $2 in a week, you will be charged 4 pennies only when you are paid the remaining $1.98!
There are not recurring fees for simply using YouData. You are selling your attention to advertisers and advertisers are willing to pay you for that privilege.
Have fun!

James Mayes replied on June 11, 2009 15:07 to the question "Referrals signing up and I don't have it reflected in my account!" in YouData:
Referrals that follow your "join" link properly or manually type in your MeFile ID properly are immediately reflected in your account. There is no delay.
Please email us at support@youdata.com with your MeFile ID so that we can confirm. Also, if you know the MeFile ID's of your referrals, send those along as well.

Hello scottish_lass,
I can assure you that we do in fact pay. :)
Please contact support@youdata.com with your MeFile ID and we will look into any errors that you might have received. If you know the error message that was presented then include that as well.
Thanks!

I see that you contacted support@youdata.com with your details. Thanks for doing that as it is the only way we can look at account detail.
That said, I am following up here for the benefit of everyone who might read this thread. Your account did not have $2.00 in it this morning. Please check your Account Activity Detail page. Might you be confusing your account with another? I note that your account is associated with a few others that were disabled due to Terms of Service violations.
James Mayes replied on June 03, 2009 21:33 to the question "Why do you want us to clear our cookies?" in YouData:
Hi John,
I'll assume that you are serious (even given the "I'm amused" comment) and answer this for the benefit of all.
We do not believe that consumers should be tracked based upon behavioral targeting tactics whereby your site visits are tracked and aggregated by unknown third parties -- forming a picture of you as a consumer without your consent. They sell this information to the highest bidder. Clearing cookies helps to thwart those types of ad networks.

James Mayes replied on June 03, 2009 19:54 to the problem "Getting No Ads" in YouData:
Scott,
Ok, let me better explain. The merged topic actually does apply, but I will answer you here as well.
Ad offers aren't forever. Advertisers build campaigns and fund them. There are potentially thousands of other people who also matched those very ads that you saw a hint of. If you chose not to view them at that point in time, there is no guarantee that the offer was still valid upon your return. The campaign could have expired or the campaign funds could have been depleted and the offer was rescinded.
I can't answer specifics about why you had no ads without knowing who you are (your MeFile ID). You can email us at support@youdata.com with that information if you wish. What I can say is that it might very well be completely valid that at this point in time you have no matching offers.
We are a new ad network. We do NOT serve up lots of banner images for you to click on that are not relevant for you. Instead, we go seek advertisers who then choose to build very specific campaigns. You may or may not match ads while your neighbor might match many. It's a market.

James Mayes replied on June 02, 2009 15:06 to the question "I have a Tracfone and it can receive and send text messages. Why isn't Tracfone accepted?" in YouData:
Hi KD182,
This is definitely a frequently asked question that deserves being answered here on the support site.
It was our experience that the ease of obtaining additional pre-paid phones from some carriers who primarily deal in pre-paid accounts lead to increased instances of fraud. We certainly know that the majority of our potential users would not be involved in such activity but we made the decision to hold off on supporting those carriers for now. We have some ideas about how to bring everyone back to the system but we have not yet begun the development process on those features.
Please stay tuned (follow this discussion by clicking the "follow" in the upper right) and we will let you know when things have changed.

James Mayes replied on June 02, 2009 14:58 to the question "accounts" in YouData:
Hi Karen,
We are currently setup to allow two people per household. Each person can have his/her own MeFile and must register a unique email address and cellular number. Each person must access his/her own MeFile only. An additional limit to consider is that a single PayPal account cannot be used more than twice across all MeFiles (same household or otherwise).
That's it! Have fun!

James Mayes replied on June 01, 2009 22:11 to the question "Can we advertise our referral link?" in YouData:
Yes on all accounts. We have nothing to hide! I suppose that the only thing we do not want others doing is to represent themselves as an official YouData representative. That said, all of the things you list are not only acceptable but know that we are very appreciative of you for offering to shout about us from the mountain tops!
Thanks again Mike.
