James [bkkeepr] set one of James [bkkeepr]'s replies as an official response to "bkkeepr keeps tracking same book" in bkkeepr
James [bkkeepr] replied on March 16, 2009 18:19 to the question "bkkeepr keeps tracking same book" in bkkeepr:
tcn13 - I looked at the incoming DMs for your account, and you're not sending the updates correctly - e.g. you're sending "start 0340827181" when it should be "0340827181 start".
bkkeepr's not very smart, and you're confusing it. It hasn't realised you've started a new one, so it's still logging the last one you started correctly.
This is, basically, an unexpected bug, so I apologise, but if you get the syntax right all will work fine.

Heya -I don't have any control over Velocity: it's a third-party app built on the bkkeepr API. You should give Tristan, who built it, a shout:

@ShellyWoo - could you clarify what you did? I've got device updates set up already. Did you delete your current settings and re-authorise the phone? – James [bkkeepr], on February 20, 2009 11:46
James [bkkeepr] reported a problem in Twitter on February 15, 2009 19:45:
SMS not appearing on Twitter (UK)None of my SMS messages to Twitter UK (07624801423) have been appearing in my stream for the last few days. I get delivery notifications on my phone saying they've been delivered, but they're not appearing on Twitter.

Please stop recommending me.My updates are private, and I only add people I know personally, so recommending that people follow me is pointless for you and your users, and the endless stream of follower requests is irritating for me.

James [bkkeepr] set one of James [bkkeepr]'s replies as an official response to "Add NOTE when finishing a book" in bkkeepr
James [bkkeepr] replied on January 20, 2009 15:16 to the idea "Add NOTE when finishing a book" in bkkeepr:
There have been a number of requests for this, and I haven't implemented it because it really falls under the heading of reviews, rather than bookmarks, and bkkeepr is about bridging the gap between the page and the web: there are plenty of places to review books already in existence. I also haven't yet decided what the best way to represent such reviews would be if they were added.
However, it's been requested enough times that I will try to add similar functionality when I next iterate the site, and have worked out how to show this.
Thanks for the suggestion, and sorry I can't implement it immediately.

James [bkkeepr] replied on January 20, 2009 13:25 to the problem "Badge not working properly" in bkkeepr:
RIGHT. Sorry for the terrible delay in fixing this problem, but the dates on your badges should now be correct.
Very sorry it took so long. Please check yours for accuracy, but the ones I've looked at now appear to be functioning correctly.
I think the new version of php that broke bkkeepr a month ago changed something in the way dates are formatted. There might also have been some issues around British Summer and Standard times. A bit of a mess, frankly, but should be good now.

Thanks for this - you're right, and I've fixed this.
Authors, titles, and notes (bookmarks) in the XML output are now processed with htmlspecialchars so:
* '&' (ampersand) becomes '&'
* '"' (double quote) becomes '"' when ENT_NOQUOTES is not set.
* ''' (single quote) becomes ''' only when ENT_QUOTES is set.
* '<' (less than) becomes '<'
* '>' (greater than) becomes '>'
Please feel free to check this now works!
