Hey deantobias -
You're not the only one. We're looking at ways to implement this, although to be honest it will be more focussed on wiping books you didn't finish than one's you've double-posted.
For now, we recommend just "finishing" it twice. It's not perfect, we know, but bkkeepr's a simple little thing, and a little too easily confused. Sorry about that.

Hey Carsten -
Is a nice idea, but we feel there's plenty of places on the web you can go to review books if this is what you're after - all the places linked from the book pages, like LibraryThing, for example.
We're committed to keeping bkkeepr small and perfectly formed, so all our annotation is at the page level, and this is unlikely to change soon.
Thanks for contributing though!
Cheers.

James [bkkeepr] replied on November 25, 2008 10:02 to the question "It doesn't seem to be recognizing some of my books" in bkkeepr:
Hey - I'm afraid that is the case. Bkkeepr checks a number of ISBN resources, starting with Amazon UK and US, as well as WorldCat and ISBNdb, which contain some international numbers, but are far from exhaustive.
As there is no central repository for all, worldwide ISBNs, it's simply not possible computationally to check all possible sources for ISBN details, and we concentrate on English-language titles.
One thing we've considered and will attempt to implement at some point is a wider-ranging, periodic scan of the database for unknown titles, and update these where possible, but I'm afraid I can't promise this immediately.

James [bkkeepr] replied on October 22, 2008 09:32 to the question "I'd like to use Identi.ca to update bkkeepr instead of Twitter" in bkkeepr:
Hi Jon - I like Identi.ca a lot as well, and I didn't know they used the same basic endpoints. For now, this isn't something we're going to support, but it's certainly something I'll think about.
Ideally, I'd like bkkeepr to take input from a whole range of services, but since Twitter currently handles all IDing and authentication, it's not the way the system works at the moment.

Matt - I agree with you on the grammar front, but the words were chosen because they're shorter, basically. A quick text has always been the aim.
However, the next iteration of bkkeepr (if it happens!) will contain a lot more options of this kind. Thanks for the feedback, and sorry I can't add it in immediately.

James [bkkeepr] replied on October 17, 2008 10:06 to the problem "Delicious bookmarks appear in Firefox but don't appear at delicious.com" in Yahoo!:
James [bkkeepr] reported a problem in Yahoo! on October 17, 2008 10:00:
Delicious bookmarks appear in Firefox but don't appear at delicious.comI'm using Firefox 3.03 on OSX 10.5.2, and Delicious Bookmarks 2.0.104. I've just noticed that my last coupld of days of bookmarks - and possibly much longer - are not appearing on delicious.com or in any feeds from there. However, they are appearing in the Delicious 'Recently Bookmarked' bar in Firefox.
Any idea what is going on, or what I can do to sync these properly? I'm concerned I've lost a great number of useful bookmarks.
My delicious username is 'stml'.
