How can we still be having this issue 6 months later? It's unbelievable. The error message might have changed, but it's still the same end result - I'm now getting "There was no one in your Gmail address book" even though that's blatantly incorrect.

I'm having the same issue - I'm on Vista, I've tried in Firefox 3 and IE 7 - same deal. I fill out my login details, select "gmail" from the drop down... get the loading page, then get redirected to https://twitter.com/invitations/invit... which displays "This method requires a POST".

I can provide a HTTP dump of the requests if this would help.
