When the definition file becomes corrupt, VIPRE will report it is on definition 0 and active protection will become inactive.

Thank you for posting. We need to make sure that your PC can communicate with our server.

Go to the Start Menu and choose run. Type “CMD” (without quotes) and hit enter. Now type “ping updates.sunbeltsoftware.com” (without quotes)

Please make note of what IP address is being pinged and let me know.

If this threat is being detected after a safe mode scan then I would like to get some diagnostic logs from your installation of VIPRE.

First open VIPRE by double clicking on the VIPRE icon in the System tray (Down by the time on your computer)

Click on the word “Help” then “About”

Then click on the button labeled “Support tools” then “Run Diagnostics”

Make sure that all the boxes are checked and click “ok”

Once this starts, it will take a couple minutes while the utility gathers information. It will create a file on your desktop called “Sunbelt VIPRE Antivirus + Antispyware Diagnostics.rar”

After that file appears, run the following utility.

You will be asked for your support ticket number. Which is 001-00-270751

Attach this log to an email and send it to support@sunbeltsoftware.com

Thank you for posting. Please follow the directions below:

1. Open Sunbelt Personal Firewall
2. Go to the network security tab
3. Change "Any Other Application" to ask ask ask ask
4. Let Isposure try to connect to the internet and it should give you a pop up asking for permission. Give it permission and choose to remember this action.
5. Change "Any Other Application" to deny permit deny permit

Please let me know if this fixes the problem.

Thank you for posting! Try un-checking the “enable web filtering” option under the web tab in Sunbelt Personal Firewall. If you still have issues, try un-checking the ad blocker. You are not losing any security by disabling this feature.

The Secure File Eraser completely removes all traces of selected documents, images, music, movies, or applications under 10MB is size by encrypting the file and then permanently deleting it. Please be warned that files you erase this way cannot be retrieved, even with special data recovery utilities!

Thank you for posting your question. The configuration file from 4.3 is incompatible with Sunbelt Personal Firewall v4.6. If you have 4.3 installed, you can update to 4.6 and the settings will be carried over. We apologize for any inconvenience.

You can have VIPRE not scan for cookies. If you open VIPRE, go to file and choose settings, now click on the scan options tab, and un-check cookies. Now click ok and VIPRE should no longer report cookies after a scan.
