To hopefully answer a couple of questions. I have run version 3.5 on Windows 7 with no issues but it is not supported. I don't think. I would download the trial of verision 4 and try it. It can be run on the same machine as version 3 just not at the same time. There is a lot of differences between 3 and 4 especially on the editing end that will take some getting used to. Again download and try the trial.

I played through these in Windows 7 64 bit and had some of the same or similar issues.
1. If I place one video in the script and set the script to loop it only plays 1/2 of the video and loops. No matter what format or length
2. I have the exact same issue in that the preview has to be stopped to restart
3. This will not really help because I am using the beta of Powerpoint 2010 and it flies into MS. I used to have a lag in Powerpoint in 2007 but not as bad as you have. The resolution matching speeded it up but never seemed to completely correct it in Windows 7
4. Same issue with control and Powerpoint that Mike has. Looks more and more like Windows 7 issiues
james horsley shared an idea in MediaComplete on December 04, 2009 20:03:
Beta Powerpoint 2010I have been playing with Powerpoints new beta and it seems to work very well so far with Media Shout 4. Some good improvements to the program and see no lag when starting it in MS. It is a beta however so make sure if you use it you don't use it on your production computer. You have to uninstall the old PPT to install it.

Also make sure that you enable mpegs 2 in Klite coded. Also in the start menu under Klite codec there is a windows 7 tweak tool you may need to change some that are set to Microsoft defaults to a different setting. – james horsley, on December 01, 2009 22:23

That is great William. Glad I could help a little bit. The windows 7 codec tweaker seems to be almost unknown to mosst tech folks even and I found it by accident. I have been really impressed with MS4 with 64 bit windows 7. – james horsley, on November 29, 2009 19:01

As a pastor I would like to disagree with a couple of John's reply. The pastor is not the boss but like everyone else in the church has special talents that God has given him to fulfill his ministry in the church. God has also given the tech people their special abilities and talents that should be used to strenghten all the ministries of that congregation. I believe God expects us to communicate with each other to blend these talents to further His kingdom, It seems that there are issues here that need to be worked out so that these issues do not simmer into bigger issues. Maybe there is a reason that the pastor wants one image and that is fine if that reason has been bathed in prayer and not just what the pastor wants.Pastor's I hate to say come and go more than the volunteers in the tech booth. It would probably be better Jason and his pastor and worship leader set down and hash out the way to make worship better in their church because there is no right way that fits every church and the way that the preacher did it in his last church may noot be right for this one.

Willian
I jusst found this. Go to all programs and to klite codec . Under tools there is actually a klite filter tweaker for version 7. I changed some of the codecs in the 32 bit part and still had the MP4 proble. I then disabled the microsoft codecs under the 64 bit filters and now MP4s work, Maybe this will help. Also all my mpegs work. Ot says that Windows Media will not play correctly if I make these changes but so far eveything there seems to work also. Hope this helps and have a great thanksgiving – james horsley, on November 26, 2009 13:09
