hm. customizing commutes = not very close to reality right now. fancy luggage line = sometime next year. luggage pass through = cool, but not as cool as what's comin' down the line in the luggae assortment.

1) thanks for the compliments on the design! glad you think our stuff is rad. 2) the cross material is a "woven nylon and polyester yarn" done up all fancy in an intercrossing pattern. not recycled, but still hella durable and cool. and shiny. like you almost want to check yourself out in your bag. like that. yeah.

the hacker could carry your laptop and possibly two chunky textbooks (and i'm thinkin' chemistry-chunky, not law-chunky). and maybe a spiral notebook or three. but, like the ebags people put on their site, the blogger does have more room.

I would try it in a large laptop messenger. The laptop is a little too tall, but since the top of the bag is a flap and not a zipper, it should still close comfortably.

i wouldn't do it. the hacker laptop compartment closes with a zipper; in some bags, there's a little room for a laptop that is too tall, but the zipper has a very fixed end point. the 17" looks to be almost half an inch too tall for that bag.

if you wanted a laptop bag w/o the handle on top, yes, you can get the messenger and put in a laptop insert, which is sewn inside the bag.

yep. you fill that form out, and do everything it says except instead of sending the form and the bag in through the mail, take them both to the store. they will then send it to the factory to be fixed, and then back to you. cool, no?

i'd go for the xl. the large fits the 15" perfectly (not so snug it's difficult to take out, not so loose the laptop can move around), so the 17" either wouldn't fit at all or would be really really snug. go xl!
