A comment on the question "Facebook Connect" in Foodzie:
Anytime, you're welcome... – Jan Brašna, on September 06, 2009 22:00-
Jan Brašna started following the idea "Linking between notes." in Evernote.
Neil Hinrichsen's reply to "Internote Linking" was just promoted to the most useful! Jan Brašna and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.
This feature USED to be in Evernote, in version 2.2.
(If you really want it, and can live with Evernote only working on your desktop, I think you still download version 2.2 from the EN site).
The feature allowed you insert links to other notes and to whole "categories" (the old term for tags) into your notes.
It also allowed you to insert these links into external applications as well - as a custom protocol handler like Eric refers to. So for example I was able to add links to notes into my XMIND mindmaps. I could then just click on the link in my mindmap to bring up the note in Evernote.
I BITTERLY miss this feature. I'd still be using Evernote 2.2 if I could, but unfortunately EN2.2 can no longer handle my database, which is over 800MB with more than 8,400 notes.
Evernote have ASSURED me (I've written to them many times about this!) that the Note Link feature will eventually appear in Evernote 3, but tell me that this is still MONTHS away (sigh...)-

Jan Brašna replied on September 05, 2009 03:17 to the question "Facebook Connect" in Foodzie:
Actually (at least on the blog) the error is as follows:
Connect with Facebook
Invalid Argument
The Facebook Connect cross-domain receiver URL (http://foodzie.com/wp-content/plugins...=_opener&%7B%22t%22%3A3%2C%22h%22%3A%22fbCancelLogin%22%2C%22sid%22%3A%220.750%22%7D) must be in the same domain or be in a subdomain of an application's base domain (foodziedev.com). You can configure the base domain in the application's settings.
It seems you forgot to change the base domain from your dev/staging area (foodziedev.com) when going live.

In a listing, all sizes of a product could be displayedFor example here: http://foodzie.com/honey-jam/honey.html there is only one price with each product, yet when you open e.g. http://honeyridgefarms.foodzie.com/ho... you're actually offered two sizes of the product.
Maybe the sizes and their respective prices could be displayed in the listing under the product? (I'm not sure if Magento is capable of doing such thing though, probably depending on how the bundled/combined/configurable product for size variation is set up?)
Jan Brašna reported a problem in Foodzie on September 02, 2009 01:02:
Some price filters are not displayedLike here: http://foodzie.com/honey-jam/honey.html where you have 15 products, but the price range filter displays only the $10–20 option w/ 4 products matching.
Maybe an outdated layered nav cache or something?

Thanks Amy for your care.
Truth is the current dashboard is more of a "profile" combined with an activity feed, all dumped on that poor page ;)
That could be really left as–is, as a Profile page. And the "new" Dashboard–turned–homepage could be more contextual, task–oriented, with snapshots of different data around the user and its companies&products.
(If you think I sound like a UI/UX geek, then I'm sorry... professional deformation ;] Maybe I could draft/prototype some options how the dashboard/home could look like; if you want?)

Tour of the category/rating system for newcomersI'm not sure if you really express how the category/rating system works to any newcomers.
There should be a brief explanation to new users what it all means and how it works, probably an extract and combination of these bits
1) https://www.rescuetime.com/helpdocs/t...
2) https://www.rescuetime.com/helpdocs/t...
3) https://www.rescuetime.com/helpdocs/t...
in context.
Right now you provide a dismissible box with a link to help docs, but they don't provide enough task–based clues what to do and what the stuff means for a completely new user.

With the new iteration of the homepage, i think we're back with this particular problem. I mean, the call–to–action blocks, testimonials and intro information about GSFN don't really make sense for returning visitors.
I believe a block w/ brief recent activity bits from my dashboard w/ a link there, a box w/ my avatar and topics/replies count (to notice I'm logged–in and not just looking at a default homepage), maybe a box w/ some of my companies/products for quicker access (or even recommended contacts, friends–of–friends I might know...) ... stuff like that, that would make the homepage more personal, "mine" instead of global, w/ better context of what I'd prolly like to do next.-

Powerful & effectiveThe Get Satisfaction's own support area shows how this product makes the very open place for opinions and support so powerful and effective. Good job!-

Add to dashboard button feedbackAfter clicking the "add to dashboard" button under a graph, some confirmation other than changing the button text would be good. Something along the lines of "yellowfade" box w/ "This graph was added to your dashboard" text.
The current change of button content isn't as helpful feedback as there could be.
