Is anyone else having the issue of having Ning Creators AND Ning Network Creators, without being able to delete the old one? I've been asking for assistance from Ning for months and can't get any help! It's annoying to have a network on there that I can't use OR delete! Also, I created a new site (before I found out about Ning Creators, but I'm not taking it down now-I've worked on it too hard!) that will accomplish much of the same purpose, as well as be a DIRECTORY... One that's set up by CATEGORY! Please check it out:) http://everythingning.ning.com/

Until you are able to convince Google to change this feature... Here is a tip... Change the subject line, which will fix the "conversation" feature. I also added a signature that asked the recipient to change the subject so I could get their emails more easily. Here is a post that explains how to change the subject line. It has photos, so it's easier than just telling you.

Yes, I agree. You should either delete it entirely (after deleting us from it) or just remove us from it, so that you can keep it in case you want to reopen it in the future. By the way... I didn't enjoy it being closed, since everyone seems to want to have the "help"... So I created a new one. I just did it, so it's empty right now... But it is at http://everythingning.ning.com – Janettee McCrary, on October 22, 2009 03:14

ProGuildSocial-I can tell you how to do it specific to Ning. Create Your Page. Then use the following code on the page: <iframe name="Name of your Page here" src="http://yoururlhere.com" height="1250px" width="725px"></iframe>
Change Scrolling to yes if you want it to scroll, change frameborder to yes if you want a frame around it, then change height as desired. I wouldn't recommend changing the width, as it won't look right. When I embedded it in this way, it showed the whole page in this area. You can check it out here: http://thehumantouch.ning.com/page/cl...
Troy-I haven't been able to get Google calendars to allow public posting. Also, you can customize the bravehost calendars better than the google ones. If you have a custom site, you want your calendar to match.

You should look into bravehost. It won't be AS customizable as Ning without HTML knowledge, BUT it's a pretty good alternative. They also offer a site through Viviti, which is easier to use but doesn't offer the social features of bravehost.... BUT you can embed your bravehost stuff on any page that allows html/java:) You can check out my website for some ideas: http://storysinc.bravehost.com/ and http://storysinc.viviti.com/ Oh... AND they have a way to create a classifieds area! – Janettee McCrary, on October 16, 2009 16:51

Janettee McCrary asked a question in Ning on October 14, 2009 11:20:
When will you take Ning Network Creators DOWN?!It's really annoying to have it on my list. I know how to get to GetSatisfaction, and I'm sure most other creators do too. You could always post the link on your Help section.
You told me to post it to the help center a long time ago, and I did. You told me to remove it myself, and I did. I got an error, and I told you that, but nothing has been done to fix it.

Not really a HUGE deal to me, but it might be annoying for other people. – Janettee McCrary, on October 05, 2009 22:02

Yes every time I deleted a person/app/page, they still showed OTHER instances of that person/app/page. I had to go in and manually remove every one. That is still happening. When I deleted people off my Facebook friends list (via Facebook) they still showed up on Yoono until I removed/readded Facebook to Yoono. That fixed THAT problem. – Janettee McCrary, on October 05, 2009 22:01

Noah,
Thank you for your prompt response, even on here! I am a single operator just opening a new business. Unfortunately, unless I pay for one of the upgraded accounts, this service doesn't really offer anything to me that I don't already have, except perhaps the analytics portion of it. I may use this in the future, when I have employees helping me. Thank you for your help. – Janettee McCrary, on September 29, 2009 20:33
