Jareau set one of Jareau's replies as an official response to "Filter by Zipcode/Distance" in Milo.com
Jareau replied on December 10, 2009 03:08 to the idea "Filter by Zipcode/Distance" in Milo.com:
Hi Joan,
Thanks for your feedback. This is a feature Milo feels would really help our carless users in places like San Francisco or New York City - or any user whom isn't able or willing to travel long distances - to find items that are in-stock, within a convenient distance.
Look for this functionality to go live on the site in the near future, and please let us know what other great ideas you have.
Happy local shopping,

Thanks, Len. We are doing some QA work on our input fields and just had a conversation about improving our search yesterday. I will make sure this issue is taken care of as part of these latest efforts.
Thanks for the feedback and support. By the way, were you able to find what you were looking for?

Jareau replied on September 12, 2009 00:18 to the problem "What Kind Of Local Search Engine Is This? Non-Working?" in Milo.com:
Hi Alfredo,
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We have been working hard to make Milo useful for everyone, but unfortunately, we can't do everything at once. Input like yours will help us prioritize which products and merchants to add next.
Check back on Milo.com in about a week and we should have tires from Sears added to our site.
Hope this helps. Are there any other merchants or products you would like to see on Milo?
Kind regards,

Kirk,
You are right. What works for one area is not right for another and we hope to continue to improve our site so user can have a great local experience. Do you have any other suggestions on how we might do this? We always like to hear from users.
As for drive-time directions: I like that! I will see how we can incorporate that into the site. Look out for driving directions on the product pages soon.
Thanks for your help, Kirk.

Hi Kirk,
Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to let you know that we are planning to address this issue in the near future and soon you won't see a store icon on your homepage unless they have a location within X miles of your current location.
What do you think? What is a reasonable radius to determine when a retailer's location is close enough to state they are "near"?

Jareau replied on August 17, 2009 17:13 to the problem "Really bad search results" in Milo.com:
Hey George,
Turns out we don't have any Green Works laundry products, but we do have some general cleaning products. Try searching for "Green Works", near "Camano Island, WA 98282"

Hope this is better for you,

Hi Mick,
Yes, we are determining your general location when you come to Milo.com.
We think auto-populating the "Near" field with an approximate location is more convenient for users and helps them find products nearby more quickly. Is the zip code we place you in incorrect?
Thanks for your input,

Jareau replied on August 12, 2009 21:31 to the idea ""out of stock" filter" in Milo.com:
Hi Kirk,
I imagine you wanted to see the sorting by availability on the search results page. We are still considering this feature, but in the meantime I wanted to let you know that we implemented an availability filter on the product page such that you can see only those store locations that actually carry the product.
Hope this helps.
