RSS was originally intended for notifications, so using the event's future start date as the item date causes problems with many feed readers, which is why Upcoming used the event's creation date as the default.
You can override this default by adding "?sort=start-date-asc" to the end of the RSS URL. More information about this feature here:

nothing works...The navigation “Home, Share, History, Profile, Logout” doesn't have an affect on the application, the the url changes but there is no change on the page.
Firefox 2.0.0.12 (or safari 2.0) on a intel mac 10.4.10 I assume share will have options for sharing location with facebook, etc, and profile will allow me to change my password, but I can’t access either, or any section other than the main map.
Please advise. -

Is there a way to sort my events RSS feed chronologically?when i export my RSS feed of my events they aren't in chronological order, perhaps they are in the order that i added them, which is kind of useless to me.
