Where are completed tasks???Where are completed tasks??? I've searched and looked everywhere, and this is driving me nuts about Deskaway. You close a task, and it's gone forever!
Specifically, I need to bill a customer for time spent on a project. How can I see all of the closed tasks, and hours on each task, so I can move this into an invoice and invoice the client?
Thanks!

When I put my email address (jnorth@forcebrain.com) in the "Forgot email" box, I get this error:
Error: Please select proper Domain name!
PS: I'm on the phone with our entire client team right now, trying to give everyone an update on the project, and I can not. Deskaway is not making me look very professional at the moment!

Can't loginWe (ForceBrain.com) suddenly can not login, and our username/domain/password is not recognized. We have a lot of client projects that we can't access.
Did we do something wrong?
Please advise ASAP! Thanks.

Which so tedious when you have 20+ projects, each with lots of tasks... that is is causing Deskaway to become counterproductive for our use.
Surely, there can be a per project, or per milestone setting that will allow the Project Lead to make all tasks visible by everyone or Limited Users, even if they are not shared.
NORTH replied on August 27, 2009 22:54 to the idea "Allow limited users to access all tasks, by checking this box." in DeskAway Project Collaboration:
We have projects with 200 tasks, each of which are assigned to different individuals on the project. We need everyone, including Limited Users, to see the progress of all tasks. The only solution is extremely tedious, as it requires sharing every task with everyone on the project. Alternatively, if we set the tasks to "Anyone" then no one would know what they are responsible for.
Understand??

Allow limited users to access all tasks, by checking this box.Currently limited Users can view individual tasks only if they are assigned or cc'ed to them. This is VERY time consuming, when limited users are your customers, who you are giving access to the project so they can oversee what is going on. We basically have to share every single task with the customer.
Instead, it seems like it would be better to have a checkbox like this:
+Check this box to allow limited users access to "all public tasks" in this task list.
And then all tasks are shared with limited users, except those tasks that are set to private or something.
Can you offer a means to let our customers view all milestones and tasks by default, unless any are set to private or (not viewed able by client or certain people)? In our business there are only a few tasks we don't want limited users to see, as opposed to the inverse.

Custom "Invitation Message" TextPlease allow us to set our own standard text for the Invitation Message, so we don't have to keep updating this paragraph everytime we invite someone.

DeskAway will help us become more organized and manage our projects from one location. I am using it and thought you should be included in the team as well.
NORTH replied on August 20, 2009 00:00 to the idea "Financials Profit/Loss per Project, per Team Member" in DeskAway Project Collaboration:
The Project Lead would be able to enter in the project dollar budget, say $10,000. Only he/she would have access to this data. The Project/Lead would then enter in the hourly rate of each team member on the project. Each task would then have a field for "time budget", which the Project Lead would enter in. For instance, Task 01 the Project Lead enters in "10 hours" for "time budget", and then a team member completes this task and marks "12 hours". The Project Lead should then be able to see how many hours have been completed vs. the total project "time budget", and if the project is under budget, or over budget. The Project Lead could also run reports to see if particular team members went over the time budget often, etc... Of course there would then be formula fields that take the time spent on each task, multiplied it by the team members hourly rate, and totaled up the running project cost.
For starters, it could be very simple. Just 5 fields:
1) 1 field on project called "project budget" (in dollars)
2) 1 field on project called "running project total" (in dollars) - which calculates the completed tasks actual hours spent.
3)1 field on project called "estimated project total" (in dollars) - which calculates all tasks "time budget" -- this way the project lead can estimate the total of each task, and look at the project as a whole, and see if their estimates exceed the project budget, before the project starts.
4) 1 field on tasks called "time budget" (in hours)
5) Team "hourly rate" on team members profile (in dollars)
Make sense?

Financials Profit/Loss per Project, per Team MemberFinancials -- Deskaway would be 1000 times better than Basecamp if you made it EASY to track Profit/Loss per Project and per Resource. A view of all projects and the current margin on each project, as well as a list of all resources, and current margin on each resource.

Resource UtilizationResource Utilization -- One of my resources is Brian. Brian is working on 5 projects for me right now. I would like to know if Brian's 40 hours per week is 50% utilized, or 120% utilized? I'd like to look at all of my resources (team members in my company) and see statistics, such as how many projects they are, how many hours they are committed over the coming weeks, etc...

UNDO button next to Completed TaskUNDO Closed Tasks -- Why does it take 4 clicks to undo a closed task. It is great that you can easily close out a task with a single click, but then it disappears, and as a beginner, our users accidently close tasks and then have no idea how to bring them back.
It seems like a quick UNDO next to each Closed Task would remedy this.

Picture Uploader for ContactsWe could add "Picture Uploader" functionality to our apps, so you can upload photos of your contacts to their records in our apps. Certainly a minor, but cool nonetheless feature. More info here: http://ow.ly/jd48

Auto-Hyperlink Created on Task CommentI just added a comment on a task. Deskaway noticed I mentioned a web site, ForceBrain.com, in my comment, and made it into a hyperlink by putting "href" tags around it. But then the comment does not display as a hyperlink in the comment? The a href tags just show up in the comment. I edit the comment, remove the ahref tags, save the comment, and they're back. What gives?

Auto-Add Prospective Investors to Private Placement (based on Segment match)For BrokerWorks, investors have multiple segments they focus on, such as "CleanTech". Each Private Placement can also be tagged with a segment, such as "CleanTech", where the company is a CleanTeach company and seeking to raise funds from an investor... likely an investor that has a history of investing in CleanTech companies.
SO... why not offer a feature when creating a new Private Placement, where you can define the segment of the company running the Private Placement, such as CleanTech, and then generate a list of investors who invest in that segment, ie: CleanTech Investors??
For instance:
1. Create new Private Placement.
2. Define Segment, such as CleanTech
3. BrokerWorks then returns a list of all Investors with Segment Focus = CleanTech, and allows you to checkboxes of those you want to mark as "Prospective Investors" for this private placement.
4. Then this Private Placement has a list of prospective investors quickly associated wtih it, for you to begin shopping to!
Does anyone like this idea? If so, please vote on it, and we might include it in the next release of BrokerWorks.
