Any word on when this will be pushed to the app store? This seems to be getting progressively worse - it just flat out won't remember my exit state and it's super annoying!

Didn't see this was that old - it's only when I choose certain categories that the data I was entering just gets cleared. I have to choose the category first then enter the rest of the data. I actually can't get it to do it now, but I'll keep an eye out for it as I'm a new user and I've had this problem more than once. – Jasper, on October 03, 2009 17:07

Just to add, I can reproduce this reliably by choosing hotel as a category after having entered a title. Might work for you and help you track what's happening?

If you were feeling lazy, you could just put the category first :p

I've seen a couple of people having issues with the pushpin not dropping in the right place - are you guys going to support moving it? Couple of times I've had to go outside and I don't like going outside when it's cold!

Sorry, didn't mean to delineate the thread there!! It's a cool idea, and most people would figure it out for sure, but in my experience, even the simplest things need to be quite fully explained, even if they only deviate slightly from the norm. That's a pretty cool idea, but moving the map is a less natural action for the regular user, in my opinion. As long as it was documented/explained, that'd probably be a pretty cool way to do it. At least it'd be less fiddly!

When I first tried it, the main issue was a bit of a schroedinger's cat - it took me a while to figure out you couldn't because I had to lift my big fat finger to see if the pin had moved!

I reckon it could be done quite well on the iPhone - it'd be nice if you beat Google to it as well! If it were me, I'd make it touch, hold, increase pin-red-bit size so you can see what you're doing, then drop. You could make an edit mode where the map's full screen so you can really see what you're up to!

Yes, I know - see? I referred to them as different buttons. I am on a Macbook Pro, though, and hitting shift return is a pain. NO! Please don't add this. Enter/return should insert a line-break/carriage return. cmd-return should post a tweet.

I like the way EventBox handles this - it just auto-expands the URL when listing the tweet. I guess that would place an overhead, and a tooltip could prove less resource-intensive, but it's more desirable to me.
