It seems that this "platinum plan" would be something I would have to pay for. While I probably can't afford it, it would be really great, helpful, and frankly common sense from your standpoint as a business to put some conspicuous links to it somewhere. (The Words Platinum Plan" should probably be some sort of link in the original reply.-

Has their been any improvements in using an A record for custom dns with pbwiki?
As you may know, you can't enter a CNAME record for the root of a dns zone (for example, ccpact.com) and so we have the problem of maintaining a pbwiki IP in an A record in our DNS. As you mention in the domaindemo wiki, that IP can change from time to time, which can lead to downtime on our wiki.
Is there some sort of notification system I can subscribe to to be notified of these changes so we can avoid downtime? Or perhaps some other system you would recommend for being able to reliably have our domains point at our wiki?
Thanks much in advance.

I love the idea of having a custom domain name for my wiki, and I'm willing o pay for it. BUT, pbwiki does a poor job of explaining how this is done. I tried the DNS walkthru above, but when I tried to reserve a new domain (e.g. wiki.{myname}.{com,net,whatever}) I got an error from at&t yahoo small business: "Sorry, we don't support the extension .{myname}. Please chose an extension from the pull-down menu, and try again."

Currently, there is no direct command to review edits by contributor, though this would be an excellent enhancement.
What you can do is look up all the changes on your wiki by clicking the "All Changes" link in the "Wiki Information" section at the bottom of the page.
You can also review all the edits on a particular page by clicking the [history] link in the "Page Information" section at the bottom of the page.

This is the first I've heard of any cases like this. My guess - you may have either:
1. Inadvertently invited users with the wiki Administrator invite key
2. Chosen an easily-guessed administrator invite key
To resolve this problem ASAP, please do this:
* While logged into your wiki, click on Settings (near the top right)
* click on "Keys and Access" - you'll notice on the right side, there is a list of user levels (admin, moderator, etc).
* Near the right side of the screen, you'll see a link that allows you to change the wiki administrator invite key - change this ASAP.
* Immediately remove the user involved (or change his/her access controls to the proper level)
By changing the wiki administrator invite key, that will disallow anyone else from adding themselves as a wiki administrator.
You may also want to set keys for the other access levels (moderator, contributor, reader) and invite students with the invite key of the access level you'd like them to have.
I also notice you put in a support request about this, I'll reply to that in just a moment as well.
jat357 asked a question in PBwiki on January 27, 2008 20:25:
Unauthorized uninvited admin on siteI was reviewing the uses on a wiki and found an uninvited unknown individual had registered with full admin privileges.
This is not good.
How could this happen?

Two issues have arisen for me:
(1) My domain registrar requires two different nameservers for external hosting DNS info.
(2) Entering (mywikiname).pbwiki.com gets the following error message: "Error: This has not been registered as a nameserver with the .comnet registry. Contact the registrar of pbwiki.com to do so."
Advice?
Thanks!
