A comment on the idea "wikipedia search in other languages" in Mozilla:
Why not use what already there?
Firefox provides a "search bar" http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/S.... It's easier to add new engines to it. http://mycroft.mozdev.org/ the Mycroft Project provides thousand of them.
It's also easier to customize it. For the english wikipedia we can customize its keyword: "we". For others languages we create specific keywords (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/S...).
No need to create a command for every site. We create a command to leverage what already in there; the functionality of the "search bar". Without useless duplication of functionality. Adding another site search is as easy as go to the web site and "add a keyword for this search".
In this specific case: go to the wikipedia site for the hungarian language; right click inside the search box and "add a keyword for this search".
PS: Could you add ESC to dismiss the window. Thank you. – JayInTheWorld, on August 29, 2008 10:14
JayInTheWorld asked a question in Mozilla on August 27, 2008 19:14:
Create a tag command. (Bookmarking)Can someone create a tag command to bookmark the page that we are in?
And if the page is already bookmarked the command could show the tags already used.
Adding these features would increase the usability of firefox users that use the keyboard as their primary input device.
Showing the tags already in use would also increase convenience, productivity and all around usability by assuring consistency across bookmark organization.
Thank you very much.
