I just started working with the Overlay class, having some success. Created a PolylineOverlay class that takes an array of geo Location points and draws a polygon with optional fill color and alpha. Also an OverlayManager class, modeled after Yahoo AS3 mapping lib, to facilitate creating and managing multiple overlays.

Anybody else struggling with this issue, I'd be happy to discuss and share ideas.
