More than 60 percent of the catalogue is available in High Bitrate, and since it's done according to popularity almost everything people listen to should be covered. I saw some stats that appr. 70 percent of the tracks in Spotify have been played at least once. Also, all new additions are available in high bitrate.

I can understand your frustration and I agree with most of your points.
I think the fastest way to solve this is to contact the label and make them send a replacement. It's obvious that fixing some corrupt tracks out of 6 million is not a priority for Spotify at the moment and that's why it should be faster to go via the labels.
As for the "one thread" suggestion I would say it is much easier to have similar problems in on thread rather than 20. I guess we have to agree to disagree on that one. – JB, on November 04, 2009 16:28
