Why won't ping.fm update my gChat or gTalk status? It updates Facebook and Twitter just fine.

Not updating my gtalk/gchat status when I update through my gmail. However it does work from my Ping.fm dashboard if I change from the default to Gtalk. I am using Chrome as my broser.
