I'm using Tumblr a lot less lately in part because it feels like they have lost their way. The features they are working on are of little interest to me.

Update: Tumblr Support says it is their policy to publicly ignore questions such as this one.

"We don't publicly comment on feature requests or unreleased features as we can't make guarantees about if/when something will be released. But, rest assured, we do hear you."

I have to say, I'm much more disappointed about Tumblr's misguided communication policy than I am about the outdated bookmarklet.

Update: I sent a note to Tumblr Support on Mar 14 and got a reply Mar 18, which in part read, "I've passed your suggestion along to our development team." Since then I've received no feedback, the bookmarklet has not been updated, and I've seen no announcements or replies to the community regarding the issue.

I love Tumblr, and I very much appreciate that it is a free service that provides a lot of value to me and many others. However, I have to say I'm a little disappointed that no one at Tumblr has even confirmed that the missing functionality in the bookmarklet is a legitimate gap in the product, and for many a significant one. I can happily and patiently wait for a solution; it would just be nice to know that a solution is coming.

I am also experiencing this behavior. Many status updates come through just fine. However, I have some friends that appear to be completely ignored by EventBox; it is as if they don't exist.
