I found a cool site that allows you to update multiple social services/sites like twitter, facebook, myspace, jaiku, pownce, bebo, linkedin, hi5, plaxo, brightkite, etc all with one post. If you have web access on your phone you can go to m.hellotxt.com or you can do it online at their full version website. Oh, there is also a facebook application that I love, since I'm always on facebook!

T-Mobile's buyers remorse policy is 14 days, except in California where their California Consumer Bill of Rights allows 30 days. – michaelicious, on June 21, 2008 04:48

Apparently, T-Mobile FlexAccounts STILL have shortcodes disabled. The only recourse is to complain:

I told T-Mobile that I'm canceling my subscription and going to another provider, even if I have to get a contract now. I'm hugely frustrated with them.

Cristal,
If you do choose to stay with T-Mobile, and have a smartphone, try using TinyTwitter. It's a small app that installs right on your phone. I'm using that to be able to update Twitter and receive updates from others via the display of my friends list.
If you don't have a smartphone, there are small apps for cell phones that have JavaScript on them. I'm just not sure of the names of those programs off the top of my head...

I have a Flex account as well, with unlimited messages, and am having the same problem as Jenn. I can utilize some short message codes, but unfortunately the Twitter service is one that doesn't work. I wish I had tried this out when I signed up with T-Mobile a few weeks ago. I probably would have gone with AT&T.

Is anyone still having issues that seem to be T-Mobile specific? I know that Twitter has been having some issues but afaik those are (mostly) resolved. I am not getting more than half of the tweets to my SMS that I should be. I also get the "Service is Unavailable" message a couple times a week when trying to send to 40404.
Is anyone else seeing similar problems?
bauserdotcom replied on December 22, 2007 15:54 to the problem "T-Mobile is blocking Twitter" in Twitter:
Wrong.
The Telecommunications Act is about phone companies blocking other phone companies (and, by extension, phone numbers served by other phone companies). Phone companies are allowed to block short codes because they're not real phone numbers. It's a weird loophole, but it's legal.
It's time to drop the pseudo-legal arguments about neutrality, because they don't apply. Even the guy who started this noise admits he was wrong -- he just wasn't principled enough to admit in any of the forums he spammed.
