my experience is that blood stains usually come out in the wash. however, it is very important not to put the garment in the dryer unless the stain has completely been removed. For some reason, the heat of the dryer seems to bake the stain in.

It's really easy to know if the stain is out before drying if you hand wash it ... using Tide or using hydrogen peroxide. once you're certain the stain is out, wash as normal.

p.s. don't ask me how I know about getting blood stains out of clothes. :)
