Use the File -> Open menu and browse to the item on your system.

If you have a directory of movies, you can add the whole thing as a watched folder using the Preferences, Folders subtab.

We know the bug is not fixed. There is an open bug here: http://bugzilla.pculture.org/show_bug... and it's a good place to post any helpful comments.

I'm about to do a fresh os install on one of my computers (which doesn't have this problem), I'll see if it errors and then start working backwards to see if I can find where it started.

I'll post any new info in the above referenced bug.

In some cases we can add a feed directly to miro from a miro site.

Here are the rules of what's implemented so far in bug #9824:

Added a rough pass at detecting RSS in r8990. It uses the following thinking:

1. the url must begin with http or https, AND
2. the url must start with http://feeds.feedburner.com, OR
the url must have "rss" in it somewhere

If you add your site to miro, you should then be able to click on a feed (that follows the rules above) and have it added directly to miro.

An example of how this works, it when you browse the Legal Torrents site in Miro, you can add any of their feeds directly.

You could get a custom miro player that could include your site as the default guide, and have some of the podcasts pre-loaded. If you want to pursue that, I can give you the contact info of the person who does that stuff.

There aren't pdf file downloads in the miro guide, but the Legal Torrents site in your sidebar has a variety of stuff including .pdf files and audio books. You can download those torrents with miro.

~/Library/Application Support/Miro contains your log files. Please file a bug report at http://bugzilla.pculture.org and include that file.

The .plist is in the usual location, just look for org.participatoryculture...

There is a default storage location on your system. You can change it in your Preferences -> Folders tab.

Select a downloaded item, click show more, then the Reveal in Finder button. it will show you the downloaded file.

Sorry. Ok you should go to http://www.getmiro.com/download and download miro for your operating system (OS).

When the download completes, you should do the following:

windows: double-click the .exe file
os x: copy the miro icon to the applications folder.
