You may want to try using Lizzer (http://lizzer.com) to automatically shorten the URLs you post into Twitter. Lizzer is a free bookmarklet tool that works with that lets you easily search and find a wide array of content (images, youtube videos,images from flickr account, Delicious links, docstoc docs, etc. etc.) and then easily insert them into your email or blog.
