I'm new to T2 bags, and was about to take the plunge, but maybe somebody can help me out figuring out what options I want on the build-yer-own laptop messenger. I have issues with too much crud hanging off my bags, and it's hard to tell what's really going on in the on-site pictures.

1) Re: strap pad. I've read some love it, some hate it. Is the pad removable? If I get one and decide I hate it, can I take it off easily?

2) Reflector strips - I want the straps to be the most minimal possible. It looks like one type of reflector is detachable, but the flap straps still seem longer than the fixed-style reflectors. True?

3) Is the chest strap removable?

4) I've read a few cranky reviews, and I'm wondering just how loud is the Velcro really?
