I think it's an advantage. You will never mix up the names :) – norbiq, on May 08, 2008 06:40

For that matter, I see Sandy's creators eventually having different avatars for "Sandy", or whatever name you choose. Increased use of our imaginations is inherent in the Internet, or with A.I. assistants or companions. Sandy will get more powerful over time, but she'll be known by different names, such as "Lola" and "Mrs. Beasley."

Another test:
Remind me to "check to see if Julie's email address is xxxx@xxxxxx.org" @inbox
Remind me to "Go to City Hall, 3500 McFarland Blvd" @inbox
Works correctly and does NOT make a contact, just a regular note.
Remind me to "Call Michael at 210-1996" @inbox
Worked correctly...strange!
WOW!!
Remember to "Call Michael at 210-1996" @inbox
Makes a contact card.
It is the DIFFERENCE between Remember and Remind!!!
Surely a dev would (or should) have known this.

Hi, Michael,
You can prevent Sandy from parsing within a string by enclosing it in quotes. I tried your examples as shown below and got good results (also shown below!).

Jeff asked a question in I want Sandy on January 15, 2008 00:28:
Can I change Sandy's "name?"Just found iwantsandy.com and I'm already infatuated, but I have one small issue: One of the coworkers who is often in my email chains is named "Sandy!"
I hate to have everyone on my team think I'm asking HER to remember stuff - can I change the name Sandy looks for in the "Sandy, remember to call Joe at 2:00pm tomorrow" tagline I'm now adding to emails?? How aoout"Jill," or "Jeeves," or maybe "Mr. McGoo?"
