A good suggestion and Bert's prompt reply is much appreciated but did not solve the problem that generates the error code 80071a30. I have searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base and also Google with no success. This problem also prevents Windows Update Installer being able to install updates successfuly and same error code is returned. – Jeff Byers, on April 14, 2009 04:32

I have been in contact already with a Microsoft support professional on trying to resolve the error code 80071a30 problem and have carried out many tests and scans but with no success. Please advise. Regards, Jeff Byers (jeffbyers1@msn.com)
