A comment on the question "When using Adobe Flash Player 10 why is there high cpu/memory usage (100% utilization)?" in Adobe:
Yeah, what exactly does "with or without flash eventually stabilizes move cursor about 100% CPU !!!!!! " mean? Please enlighten us. – JeffB, on November 02, 2009 22:08

JeffB reported a problem in Adobe on August 24, 2009 19:55:
Spinning beach ball for 5-10 minutes (Photoshop CS4, Leopard)I am sick of being forced to spend 5-10 minutes watching the spinning beach ball while waiting for the "Save For Web" dialog to show up. This usually happens the first time I need to use it, on the even simplest and smallest of documents. After that, it's generally not a problem - but still infuriating the first time.
I've got 4 gigs of RAM, have no other memory-hogging programs open, disabled all non-essential plugins, and done the usual stuff that you'd do when trying to resolve something like this. Nothing helps, and I'm left wondering why I spent so much money for what too often seems like an Alpha release.
I doubt I'm the only person with this problem. Can anybody help?
Adobe, are you listening?

I have this exact same problem. I was almost late to an important client presentation due to the fact that I had to wait nearly ten minutes for the beach ball to go away. I wasn't even using Save For Web this time, but often when I do it just sits there for 5 minutes before actually saving the file.
I love CS4 and the good folks at Adobe who have put so much hard work into it, but "little" problems like this can be absolutely infuriating when trying to beat a deadline.-
