I would also love to see this. Using a RSS to Email service is not frequent enough (nor can I find a reliable one). I, as many others, do not use SMS due to its costs, but I do get email pushed to my phone. So I would be notified when an email message comes in. This would be a great method for receiving a tweet, right in my inbox.-

Jeff replied on September 09, 2008 18:31 to the question "Facebook notes = blog post?" in Ping.fm:
The confusion is that it appears that the setting is to submit your ping to a various service on the other end. For example it looks like I can choose for ping.fm to send to facebook status or to a facebook microblog when I submit a ping through ping.fm. This is not how this works, but from the settings page it is how it appears to work. This is why users are confused about the difference between a status update, a blog, or a micro-blog. Because ping.fm makes a distinction, when there really is none.
Jeff replied on September 09, 2008 16:41 to the question "Facebook notes = blog post?" in Ping.fm:
Huh? What is the difference between a Facebook Status Update and a Facebook Micro-Blog if they both simply update the Facebook Status? This distinction is about as clear as mud. What in the world is the difference between a Micro Blog and a Status Update? And in the case of the Facebook settings, what in the world is the difference if they both do exactly the same thing?
Jeff replied on September 09, 2008 15:10 to the question "Facebook notes = blog post?" in Ping.fm:
I must just not be understanding. Here is how I am understanding this. Facebook only allows status updates. Ping.fm has a setting to allow Micro-Blogging on Facebook. Which doesn't do anything since Facebook's API only allows status updates. This can be disabled in ping.fm by the user, but my question is , what does it do when it is 'enabled'? That is what I do not understand since there is no 'micro-blogging' option with the Facebook API.
