Looks like the issue has been resolved. Seems like there was a hiccup in the system. Gave it a try 20 minutes later and it worked.

Unable To Schedule A Show With Talkshoe
I'm trying to schedule a recording for tomorrow evening and Talkshoe keeps telling me the following error.

    Action did not complete.
Server Infrastructure Problem. Please contact the TalkShoe system administrator.

Show id is 34224. It's been doing this for the past 20 minutes now and I'm unable to schedule the show.

Just gave it another shot, not sure if the company is still working on the problem but I'm able to download and listen to the shows again.

    Recordings Have Disappeared
I've been notified by my listeners and I have since confirmed that all of my recordings have disappeared. The download link is there but when you click on the download button, it says NOT FOUND. It's almost as if the file is totally gone from the recordings server.

    Talkcast ID is 34224

This suggestion is great. I just love receiving bounceback emails or emails that can not be sent to people that are subscribed to the mailing list for the show. Personally, I think it's pretty stupid that we have to email someone to remove emails. Managing the list should be better than this. You can add, but you can't remove :(

Unable To Create Or Upload A Show
I tried to create and upload a show this morning only to be greeted by an error from Talkshoe. However, I can not send in the error report because the error details contain more than 30,000 characters. So not only can I not create or upload a show right now (4:40AM EST) but the process of reporting the error is broke as well.

Recorded Episode Not Showing After 24 Hours
On Friday May 29th 2009, I recorded an episode of WordPress Weekly talkcast ID 34224 and the show lasted for one hour and 17 minutes. We ended up having a 11 hour after show but in the end, I terminated the show as normal with no errors. Today, I noticed the recording is not available for that episode. Can anyone look into this for me and let me know if it's stuck or something?

Hmm, well that post was written back in January. Surely they would have fixed the hardware issue by now! Unless of course, a new one has sprang up that we don't know about.

Two weeks in a row, SIP And Live Streaming crash during recording
For the second week in a row, during my WordPress Weekly Talkcast which comes on every Friday evening at 8PM EST and usually last to 9PM EST the live stream as well as the SIP portion of the phone bridge has gone offline. This causes my shows stream to disappear and only those who are dialed in on a landline can be heard. Now, the recording does continue and those who are on the call with a landline end up in the final MP3 but the show becomes a real drag when I can't have people in the chatroom hear the stream.

As I said, this is the second time in a row this problem has occurred. What is the problem? I had a few other people call into my show asking me if the audio dropped on my show as it did on theirs so this appears to be a sitewide problem. I love the fact that Talkshoe is free and all and because of that, I believe the mindset is "it's free so don't complain" but when I've built a loyal following with my show and I depend on the site and its feature set to be available for one hour during the week, it's hard not to complain, especially when I bring on important people in my field for interviews and no one can tune into the live stream. With no live stream, the chatroom becomes useless.

The bottom line is, I need to know what the problem is so I can explain it to my audience. I also need to know if it's being addressed and what to expect for my show next Friday evening when I have a very important interview scheduled. If this issue continues for a few more shows, I will be forced to move my entire community away from Talkshoe to something else which is on my list of "Last Ditch Effort" things to do.

    Add A Dedicated Forum
Why doesn't Talkshoe have a forum anymore? When I first started using Talkshoe, I remember the service having a forum that built on top of Vanilla. Not the most intuitive forum software available but it was nice. Now, the Talkshoe community has to figure out how to get to Get Satisfaction, sign up for an account and then post an issue into the appropriate area and this all takes place out side of the Talkshoe domain. Something doesn't seem right.

I propose that a subdomain be setup on talkshoe and a dedicated forum be hosted on this domain. You can use Vbulletin or what I recommend using is PHPBB3 and install the forum. Then, style it up a little bit, give it the talkshoe look and feel and then, create a usergroup for community liasons so that we can help each other instead of relying on Josh, Dave or any of the higher up technical support people. Plus, we can all chime in and help each other out as it relates to podcasting equipment, monetization, tips and tricks, advertising, etc. I think Talkshoe is at the point now where the community has reached a decent size and is worthy of being able to support itself if given the proper tools/place to do so. I don't believe Get Satisfaction is the place.

As for the Ning community site for talkshoe. Again, my main concern is that it falls outside of the Talkshoe domain. Why continue to push people to congregate outside of the domain? That makes no sense to me. For starters, the Ning site was started by someone who is not involved with Talkshoe anymore. So now, for community oriented stuff, we have to go to the ning site. For support we go to Get Satisfaction. Pretty soon, we'll need a roadmap to figure out where to go to do something.

I just think having a forum would eliminate the need for both services and could help keep things in house.

Well, I only discovered Skribit the other day so I'm not completely sure what the service offers. However, sounds like adding that to the pro feature account would be a nice boost to Skribits business model :) How much is a pro account and what other features are part of that package?

This is a great idea. Think about it. The use of anonymous suggestions can be abused too easily. Also, I highly doubt most blog readers will bother to use the widget if they have to login so the best of both worlds for the end user as well as the blog author would be for suggestion moderation.
