I think you have to hook in the db to a separate table which has an approximated latitude/longitude by zip code. Contact me off list if you'd ever like a table to test this with. I may have zip:lat/long for a western state for testing.

What markets are open today?
It's Thursday. I'd like to be able to see the markets closest to me that are open today.

One of the main reasons I repeatedly look for farmers markets on the web is to find out which are open on a particular day. If that functionality could be wrapped into this app, that would be extremely helpful.
