Jenna's dashboard

Okay i have dial-up (still) and my iphone refuses to update. Everytime i attempt to update a grey box pops up and says:

"There was a problem dowloading the iphone software for the iphone "insert name". An unkwon error occurred (9006).

Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active or try again later."

I've tried 8 times in the last 5 months, it comes up with this same message everytime. Is my dial up internet connection a problem? Help please!
