Well CNN clearly said he _intends_ to resign -- effective Monday. I didn't watch the actual speech. Maybe it is more clear there?
Although I think the spirit of the question would be for today, the letter of the question I agree hasn't settled yet.
However, I would be in favor for suspending and voiding those bets made after his speech. I think we can agree the outcome is known at this point (even if we can't agree on WHAT said outcome is).

I've got no $ on this one, but thought the market was enormously amusing, so I've been following it. Sorry to say, but me thinks its got to be a void. Purple is clearly not blue or red (or orange or sienna), although I understand rohan's frustration (so close!). Maybe we can try to be a little more inclusive for the next fashion question.-

Ryan - in the discussion of the discussion, no one seems to have actually answered your question. I'll just throw my cent in - I take 'win' to be who receives the most superdelegate votes at the convention. It seems likely that the superdelegate votes will avalanche behind whoever is the current front runner, so I think we will know who took the majority of the supers. However there is a definite chance that it won't be quite as clear at which point you have to void a question that has been in play for months and months (which would definitely suck).
My vote is to keep it, but I certainly understand the alternate argument and will bow to the majority decision.

Using tags to recommend questionsNigel mentioned using tags in http://getsatisfaction.com/hubdub/top...
and allowing users to do some filtering on those tags. Just to take that a step further, you could also use those tags to determine what type of questions people like to bid on and have a 'recommended question' page.
For example, 90% of my bids are politics related. So a personal page for me would show all of the most popular political questions (with maybe an American Idol question or two thrown in for good measure). This might help alleviate some of the distaste for the 'tabloidish' questions as they just won't be seen by those people who don't like them.

I have to agree that I wrinkled my nose when I read the Swayze question. However, it pretty clearly falls into the 'news' category and has been one of the most active questions for several days in a row now. I may avoid all of the death questions (Iraq and Brittany included) myself, but I don't think I should enforce my morals on everyone else. Unless Hubdub becomes flooded with these questions where they are somehow hampering the play of the 'happier' questions, I say let them stay.
