Jennifer set one of Jennifer's replies as an official response to "Can't get resume page to successfully submit" in mediabistro.com
Jennifer replied on July 14, 2009 20:46 to the problem "Can't get resume page to successfully submit" in mediabistro.com:
Hi Tiffany - I'm guessing that the error may be with the dates - it's the most common problem with the resume builder tool. Dates MUST be entered in the MM/YYYY format for the form to be accepted. Our apologies for not labeling that more clearly. If you type anything else into those date boxes (including the word 'present') it will return this error. Check over your resume carefully to be sure the dates are inputted correctly. If you're still having trouble, certainly let us know and we'll figure out what's going on. Cheers, Jennifer

Hi Barbara - While we certainly love all things media and love that you're turning to us, I'm afraid this is something with which we can't be of much help. Agreements and contracts aren't really our forte, so we wouldn't be too comfortable giving you an official, legal answer. But hopefully you can find the answer to your question somewhere else! Best of luck, and we look forward to helping you with your next media quandary. Cheers, Jennifer
Jennifer set one of Jennifer's replies as an official response to "How do we post a press release on mediabistro.com" in mediabistro.com
Jennifer replied on June 17, 2009 17:15 to the question "How do we post a press release on mediabistro.com" in mediabistro.com:
Hi Maribel - There's no area of the site where we post press releases, but you've got a few options. One option is that if you think it would be appropriate for one of our blogs to cover it, you can send it directly to the right editor for consideration. Our blogs cover different parts of the media industry, and a list of the blogs can be found here: http://www.mediabistro.com/rss/. When visiting each blog, you should be able to find contact info for the editors posted there. Another option is to send the press release to our editorial assistant Blake, and she can pass it along to the right person for consideration. Her email is blake[AT]mediabistro[DOT]com. Hope that helps. Let us know if you still have questions. -Jennifer

Jennifer replied on May 26, 2009 18:15 to the question "how do i update my job search?" in mediabistro.com:
Hi there - When you say you used mediabistro.com to find freelance gigs, do you mean that you're a member of the Freelance Marketplace? Those profiles are intended to get you freelance jobs, so having a profile in the Marketplace wouldn't be the best option if you're looking for full-time PR jobs (you can edit your FM profile by going to Your Account, Freelance Marketplace). Instead, your best bet would be to browse our job listings which are found at http://www.mediabistro.com/joblistings. You can also set up email job alerts based on key terms, to help with your job search. You can create them here: http://www.mediabistro.com/joblisting...
If you're not referring to a Marketplace profile, please give us some more info so we can guide you better.
Cheers,
Jennifer
A comment on the question "Easy way to Resequence Work Samples in FM profile?" in mediabistro.com:
Hi HM - Since there's no simple way to shift the header topics up or down, your best bet is to rename them. Let us know if you have trouble doing that. We like your suggestion that the directions should give more detail. -Jennifer – Jennifer, on May 18, 2009 16:34

Jennifer replied on May 04, 2009 22:02 to the problem "email subscriptions." in mediabistro.com:
Hi there - Are you asking how to change the email where you receive our newsletters? If so, you can change that by logging into the site and going to Your Account (you'll find the link to Your Account at the top of the website). Once there, click on Login & Email Lists. You can either change the email address associated with the entire account, or just enter a new email address for your newsletter subscriptions. Be sure to hit Submit when you're done. If this wasn't your question, let us know your question in more detail so we can help you out. -Jennifer

Jennifer replied on April 27, 2009 21:09 to the question "MB Internships?" in mediabistro.com:
Hi Lisa -
Glad you asked. We do have a few open internship positions. We're currently looking for both an undergraduate and a graduate membership marketing intern. Here are the links to those internship postings:

In general, the best way to find out when we have internship (or job) openings is to visit our Jobs Listings and then search the term "mediabistro" in the left-hand search box. Our Jobs Listings can be found here: http://www.mediabistro.com/joblistings/ Let us know if you have more questions.
Cheers,
Jennifer

Hi there - In general, we don't keep a database of news clips, so unfortunately I don't think we can be of much help in this case. Did you read about it in one of our blogs, or did you see it on TV? If it was something we covered on our site or our blogs, we may have a better shot at helping you out. Cheers, Jennifer
Jennifer set one of Jennifer's replies as an official response to "Attaching PDFs in "Contact Us"?" in mediabistro.com
Jennifer replied on April 13, 2009 15:03 to the question "Attaching PDFs in "Contact Us"?" in mediabistro.com:
Hi Peter - The Contact Us form is used to get in touch with us for customer service (though we love that you're using Get Satisfaction!). Are you trying to post your resume to apply for a specific job listed on our job board, or did you want to upload it as part of your profile? Each job you click on should have an "Apply Now" button that takes you to the application page. On the other hand, if you're trying to add a resume to your general account, go to Your Account (top of the page), and then go to Resume. Let us know if you need more info! - Jennifer
Jennifer set one of Jennifer's replies as an official response to "Not receiving New York magazine" in mediabistro.com
Jennifer replied on March 31, 2009 19:48 to the problem "Not receiving New York magazine" in mediabistro.com:
Hi Michele -
First off, our apologies for somehow missing this post. We're using Get Satisfaction full time now, so we'll be quick to answer all posts.
We were having some issues with magazine delivery at the time that you signed up, though we think we've finally got that all cleared up. The best thing to do is send your address and magazine choice to so I can manually add your name/address to the list of subscriptions. (Although you signed up a long time ago, you're of course still entitled to your subscription).
Please send me your mailing address using this form:
http://www.mediabistro.com/aboutus/co...
Again, our apologies for the customer service slip up.
Best, Jennifer
