ok-just got off the phone with our product manager. He'll be working on trying to remedy this issue. It would be helpful if you could tell us what version of safari you are running and what version of mac OS X (if you know it, that's great, if not, we can try to figure it out.)
He said the folder normally is there, but perhaps it's a difference mac versions. Regardless, he'll be looking into it, and we will get back with you as soon as we've got it taken care of.
Thanks again for your patience!

Apologies for the issues you are having with Safari. I'll be happy to help you uninstall.
I will also attach the normal uninstall instructions for safari, just in case anyone else reading this also wants instructions.
For your specific situation, Go to your mac HD. Then click /Library/InputManagers, there delete the OneRiot Facebook directory and restart Safari
That should take care of it.
The normal uninstall process is as follows:
On the toolbar itself there is a "home button" it has a picture of a house
on it and when you click it it opens a drop down menu with links - to the
right of the login button. At the very bottom of the list you will find
"Uninstall Toolbar"
The toolbar of course has to be visible for this, so if you are having
problems finding the toolbar you should do one or both of these.
1. Make your browser window bigger
2. Right click near address bar and go to customize toolbar, here you can
make sure you have the toolbar selected to be visible.

Happy to help. There absolutely is a way to completely remove. Here are the exact directions on how to uninstall it from IE. (Are you using Vista or XP?) It should be in your add/remove area, so that's strange that you don't see it there. Directions are as follows:
FROM XP:
Process: Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Find “Add-on Name” in list -> Remove
FROM VISTA:
Process: Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features - > Find “Add-on Name” in list -> Uninstall
(Here are the names of all the add-ons we have-even though you said you had the myspace one, this is for future reference. Some people have problems uninstalling because they don't know the exact name of the addon.)
Add-on Name: Ultimate MySpace Toolbar, OneRiot Pulse Checker, OneRiot Facebook Toolbar, Me.dium IE Add-on, OneRiot CU Boulder Toolbar, OneRiot UVM Toolbar, OneRiot CSU Toolbar, OneRiot UNH Toolbar
This is our standard uninstall procedure. It sounded like you were having trouble finding it within the add/remove area which is odd. If that's still the case, then it sounds like an individual problem that we can look into further. Please message me back if there is still issue removing it, we certainly want to help.
Thanks

Even though you answered your own question, here's an easier way to go about the uninstall. Thanks for giving it a try though, and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask! ;)

Hey Hey! Thanks for the message!
To answer your question--It’s not currently on our roadmap, but if we receive interest from our community we’ll definitely look into making one. In the meantime, you can check out our Facebook Toolbar, which is available for Safari - http://live.oneriot.com/awesomefacebo...

A comment on the problem "OneRiot taking over my browser!" in OneRiot:
I can definitely understand your frustration and I really apologize for not being more clear. I can assure you I didn't try to avoid calling it the "myspace" toolbar for any reason, except that we have created many different toolbars at OneRiot (facebook, myspace, pulsechecker, etc.) The initial blog post did not specify which one was downloaded, so I gave general uninstall OneRiot toolbar directions- not ones specific for the OneRiot Myspace Toolbar. I assumed that people would be able to specify which OneRiot toolbar they wanted uninstalled by the directions given, but I made a mistake with that. I should have been more specific, and I accept all responsibility for that. I do apologize for your inconvenience, and I am glad you were able to solve your problem. I appreciate your feedback, as I now can better my unistall directions.
Thanks,

Hi Ruth- I replied to you on the other board, but I wanted to add my response again here---just in case you read this forum first. :)
So I got your message about using Flock. I just tried removing our Myspace toolbar from flock to test if its removal process is working correctly. It seems to have worked just fine for me.
All you have to do is go to your FLOCK toolbar at the top, (where it says file, edit, history, etc) and just choose "TOOLS"
Then choose "Addons" and you should see our oneriot toolbars that you've downloaded there. Just hit uninstall.
you will have to CLOSE DOWN and RESTART Flock for the removal to take effect.
If you are still having troubles, please email me the exact name of the toolbar you are trying to remove, (we have several, campus toolbar, myspace toolbar, pulsechecker,) and we can move from there.
Thanks for your patience, and I sincerely hope this helps you out!

Hi Mark- Even though we've been in touch via email, I wanted to copy my email response to your issue here. That way anyone else who may be having similar issues can also see what steps need to be taken in order to have their issue resolved. Thanks!
I will do everything I possibly can to help you out. I understand that you are upset, and I will do my very best to try to fix your problem.
To help me understand the situation, can you please tell me what toolbar you currently have on your browser (and which browser you are using.) We have the OneRiot pulse checker, the myspace toolbar, IE8 goodies, and campus toolbars just to name a few. These are all add-ons that you must elect to download. We also transitioned from Me.dium.com, if you had downloaded the Me.dium sidebar before this, please let me know.
Any details on the errors you are receiving, what you’re seeing, or how it is exactly controlling your browser will help me assess the issue. We don’t have very many people experiencing what you are dealing with, and I have never heard about the beige screen. Are you positive that this is oneRiot related an not a foreign computer virus downloaded elsewhere? (Not trying to displace blame, just making sure that I can get all the details to help you out.) Once I hear back from you, I will focus on trying to fix your issue.

Ok-here's an update-
After the link got corrected, we noticed that there were still some glitches going on with unsubscribing. We're doing everything in our power to get this fixed as quickly as possible. If you send me an email with "unsubscribe" in the subject line, I will personally remove you from our mailing list so that you don't have to go through the steps again.
Thanks and again, so sorry for the inconvenience.

Jenniferlauren replied on February 04, 2009 19:07 to the question "how to remove 'oneriot'" in OneRiot:
I am certainly happy to help you uninstall OneRiot.
If you are using Internet Explorer the directions are as followed:
To completely uninstall:
Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add/ Remove Programs -> Name of Toolbar ->
Remove
To disable:
In IE go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Name of Toolbar -> Disable
If you are using Firefox, the best way to uninstall is by going to your firefox toolbar, selecting tools----->selecting addons---->and then choosing to uninstall OneRiot. You will then need to restart your browser.
Please keep in mind when you are removing OneRiot from your browser, you are looking for the name of the toolbar you specifically downloaded: this can be the Ultimate Myspace Toolbar, the Pulsechecker, etc.
Also to be removed from our mailing list, please go to: http://www.oneriot.com/unsubscribe/ and enter your email address.
Thanks for you patience in this matter, and if there is anything I can do to personally assist the uninstall, feel free to email me at jhodges@oneriot.com
Thanks.

Even though you got to it first, I wanted to make sure that every one else who stumbles upon GetSat could see the link: http://www.oneriot.com/unsubscribe/ if they want to be removed from our mailing list.
So sorry about the email glitch, and thanks for your patience.
