Thanks Endure. I was checking with the team to make sure everything was good to go, but you got to it first! :) Thanks again for your patience, and your brainpower too! ;)

Mojo-thank you for your feedback. I will definitely pass it on to the rest of the team at OneRiot and let them know your feelings. Our intentions were not to deceive anyone, so apologies for the confusion. We are very excited about OneRiot, and really want that excitement to translate to our users----not a spam like image, so thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.
I did want to let you know that when Me.dium did make the transition to OneRiot we did send out a mass email to all of our users to fill them in about the switch. If you had a Me.dium account, you should have gotten the email below. We did our best to fill everyone in on the changes going on, so that an email like the one sent out recently, wouldn't be confusing. We understand that emails do get deleted and filtered from time to time, but I just wanted to let you know that we did try to inform the people of the switch. I have attached the original email below so you can get the info on why we moved in the direction we did. :)
Again, thanks for writing, and if you haven any further questions you can always email me!
Thanks,
Jenniferlauren
(Original mass email, sent out in November)
Last July, Me.dium launched Social Search Alpha, a search engine that allowed our users to find the most popular content on the web. You loved it, and you weren’t the only ones—everyone from The New York Times to Business Week thought we were up to something pretty awesome.
As a small company, Me.dium’s number one focus is to create an exceptional product for our users. Two years, two million downloads, and countless messages of your support later, we now know that product is Social Search. So, in effort to make our Social Search the best on the planet, we’ve decided to shift all of our focus towards making this product 100% amazing.
Here’s what that means for you:
+ As of today, Me.dium will become OneRiot. OneRiot will function as a search engine, but will be different than other search engines for one big reason: Our search results will be ranked based on their current popularity within our community. So, when you use OneRiot, you won’t just be finding information, you’ll be finding the pulse of the web.
+ The Me.dium Social Search Sidebar, as you know it, will cease to exist. Yes, this is a little sad, but as we’ve watched you, our most avid users, loving Social Search alpha more and more everyday, we know that this is what you find most valuable. The sidebar will now offer a list of current hot topics, pointing you to the most popular news, videos and products on the web.
+ The Me.dium add-on for IE8 and Firefox will become the Pulsechecker, a way to immediately access the hottest content on the web, and will be joined by some great toolbars for college students and Myspacers (and soon, facebookers!).
These are big changes, and we’re really excited about them—but we’re even more excited to hear what you think. We adore and depend on your support, and we’re depending on it now more than ever – so give OneRiot a test, then let us know what you think. We’ve definitely got a lot of work to do, and your input will help us make OneRiot the best social search engine around.
Thanks for everything—now go Search for the Pulse!

Hey thanks for the message. First of all I want to assure you, no shady business here, I promise! To answer your first question, if you have never heard of OneRiot before today, chances are that you once used Me.dium.com. If so, that is where we got your email address. You can read about our transition from Me.dium to OneRiot here: http://tinyurl.com/8qfhhl
Secondly, I looked into our uninstall link directing you to our homepage, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience! You were absolutely right, and we're taking care of that issue now! Thanks for bringing it to our attention. As soon as it's corrected I'll post the correct link to uninstall. Shouldn't be more than a day.
Thanks again, we really appreciate you taking the time to write us and for your feedback. Feel free to message me here or at jhodges@oneriot.com for any additional questions.
Jenniferlauren replied on December 23, 2008 08:39 to the question "How do I register for a OneRiot account/profile?" in OneRiot:
Actually with OneRiot there is nothing to register for! You can download our any of our toolbars to contribute to OneRiot search results if you wish, but you certainly don't need to register, download, add, or sign in to use our social search.
However there are a couple of alternative ways to add a little of your personality to OneRiot. If you have a Facebook account, check out Facebook Connect with OneRiot. When you go to a search result page, you can leave a comment on that page under your facebook account (see an example here on right margin http://www.oneriot.com/gothic-kittens .) This way you can have your say on all the latest news, articles, and events that are pulsing on the web.
Give it a try and give us your thoughts! We always appreciate feedback!
Thanks-
Jenny

are you also using IE? Remember, there are different steps for different browsers. Also, after you have done each process, you need to restart your browser. Please give me some more details and what you are viewing, and I'll do my very best to help out.
Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for your patience! Sorry that you're having some issues with OneRiot, but we'll do everything we can to help you out.
If you're using Firefox, the best way to uninstall is by going to your firefox toolbar, selecting tools----->selecting addons---->and then choosing to uninstall OneRiot. You will then need to restart your browser.
Let me know if this works for you, if not, we can go over what errors you're ha having and move from there.
Thanks-
Jenny

Me.dium data is no longer active and is contained in offline backup
files that are not connected to OneRiot in anyway.
Per the Medium privacy policy please send me an email with your Medium
account & login credentials with a request to remove your user profile
from our backup files. We'll remove any information that is personally
attributable to you within 10 days.
Just let me know if you have any other questions.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to access Me.dium or your account now that we are OneRiot. I know that it's a bummer for those who really loved Me.dium, but we wouldn't have transitioned like this if we didn't think we were up to something pretty great with OneRiot.
If you want to take a little while to play around with OneRiot Search, I would love to get your feedback. We do have a couple of new add-ons for your browsers that you can take a look at: http://www.oneriot.com/product/addons
Thanks for taking the time to ask your question, please feel free to email me or reply here with any additional thoughts or questions. Jhodges@oneriot.com

Thanks for the well wishes, ya it's a little sad that our sidebar is gone, but we wouldn't have made a move like that unless we really believed OneRiot was going to be something big and exciting!
The response that I put on GetSatisfaction was actually the email that went out. If I had your email, I should have sent you a copy. However, yesterday was our launch....so if you read it here, you haven't been out of the loop for long. :)
We are really interested in any feedback you may have for us. Thanks for your thoughts, and if you ever have any questions, please email me at jhodges@oneriot.com

Hey great question! Sorry you're frustrated and thanks for your patience. I'm not gonna give you a quick little response, you deserve to know what changes have taken place so hopefully this letter will clear things up for you. As for that stingy password blocking your access to OneRiot, it should be removed in a matter of minutes. (You just found our new site before we took off the private blocker!) ;)

Jenniferlauren replied on November 11, 2008 17:01 to the question "what does "pulse" mean??" in OneRiot:
Literally? According to the dictionary: "The regular throbbing of the arteries, caused by the successive contractions of the heart, esp. as may be felt at an artery, as at the wrist."
But you posted this on the OneRiot Get Sat page, so you're probably talking about all this "pulse business" all over our site. ;) (Hey-just trying to be thorough!)
When we say "Pulse" we're talking about today's most popular web content. If a website, video or news story is generating a lot of buzz and energy within our community, we consider it "pulsing" (which means it gets to go in our top search results). We're here to bring you the freshest and most vibrant content on the web, and so that's what our "pulse" is all about! ;)
