A comment on the problem "Problem editing a particular venue as SU lvl 1" in foursquare:
Yes, I noticed that one too when I was trying to update and correct the various Apple Store entries a couple of weeks ago. I actually found it rather odd that the Sherway entry comes from Wcities yet the other four don't. – Jesse David Hollington, on November 15, 2009 18:34-

Note that I've been going through and proactively cleaning up all of the duplicates, standardizing names and entering accurate address info for the TTC stations and Starbucks locations, as well as anything else I happen across as I'm wandering about. I'm flagging duplicates that I come across int he process, but I'm only a Level 1 Superuser at this point, so I can flag duplicates, but can't actually merge them yet.-

Agreed, as well as information such as cross streets, which are currently not listed for most Wcities entries either.
Further, until it *is* possible to edit these entries, there should be some indication as to why the "Edit" pencil doesn't appear... Too me a while to figure out why I couldn't change any of those particular entries.-

A comment on the question ""RT" for retweets" in atebits:
That's it. The settings you see are for the "Quote Tweet" option. The Retweet option always uses RT, presumably via the API. – Jesse David Hollington, on October 10, 2009 00:36
A comment on the idea "Support for bit.ly accounts (not just bit.ly shortening)" in atebits:
Heh, if only it were that easy, but I think that "private betas" are called "private" for a reason.... – Jesse David Hollington, on September 25, 2009 23:00

A comment on the idea "Growl integration" in atebits:
I suppose the theory might be that "New Tweet" would help to differentiate between a tweet, a mention, or a DM, but there are other ways to address this (I have Growl use different colors and notification styles for each of the three types).
If somebody wants that level of detail, its easy enough to configure Growl to provide it. For many others, a new tweet is a new tweet, regardless of whether it's a reply, mention, or DM. – Jesse David Hollington, on May 28, 2009 12:17

Jesse David Hollington shared an idea in atebits on May 12, 2009 13:24:
Update Twitter Passwords in TweetieThere definitely needs to be a way to update your password in Tweetie directly. I recognize that the Twitter API doesn't necessarily allow for password changes, but I'm referring to when you change your Twitter password on the web and then come back to Tweetie.
ideally, I'd like to see Tweetie pop-up and prompt you for a new password when authentication fails. This could be done either proactively (as an immediate pop-up window), or in response to clicking on the "Error" icon at the bottom of the Tweetie window.
